any and every console gets improvements over time, its only natural. Software optimization can do wonders, just look at any console's launch game and then at any AAA game 5 years down the road.
this game is sure getting lots of bad press even far before release.
Its not like WiiU has plenty of them.

I have only 1 reason - Xenoblade X, but 1 reason cant justify purchase of the system that is reaching its peak very soon (or maybe have already reached).

Prototype 1 and 2 was brutal.
But I think Kratos tops brutality, shredding gods to pieces..
why Ive a feeling that all this VR/AR nonsense wont be viable for quite a while..
I own consoles only for quality single player experiences, PC is where my multiplayer is.
And quality TPS with great story/characters is what I desire the most now.
nothing can replace that smell and feel when u open plastic cover of new and fresh game disc!
Is x360 already discontinued in Japan? It seems nobody is tracking it there. Also it looks like X1 is only wasting MS's cash(ofc they have plenty, so why not)in Japan.
I hope PS4 can revive console gaming in Japan, we need it!

Not dying, but on the decline (mainly because of WiiU/PSV).
Yearly hardware totals (all consoles + all handhelds sold) have been declining every year after 2008 (~80m units sold) for about 10% a year. Last year had less than 45m units sold. But this can be explained with huge Wii+DS sales.
I think from now on it will only start getting better.
We shall see how next Nintendo console and handheld will impact the market.
This year will be huge! Theres something for everyone (except kalkano).
So many RPGs and open world games, hype is high!

Only if You have no other option.
But PS4 users should feel grateful, that game of this scale and with such visuals can run at native FHD.
