I always want repair mechanics. It just needs to be done right without it being a pain. Never once playing Witcher 3 or Fallout New Vegas did I ever cry "Repairing my stuff is ruining this game for me! Wahhh wahhhh" I actually think it's fun when I'm in a battle and I forgot to check durability beforehand and end up having my shit break on me

Paradox has one of the worst DLC policies in the business. But it's strictly for their own developed games (CK2, EU4, HOI4, Stellaris, I:R) they release a broken bare minimum game then release tons of DLC that fixes the game and turns it into something better. Johan one of the top management devs is always making stupid decisions that the fans hate to, like the games using mana points (which is anti strategy).

I'm expecting Sony will price the PS5 reasonably even if it's at a loss for them. They know if they get a huge base set up, most of the money will come from PS+ and Software sales

Right, I work my ass off doing a full time job and a part time job. Streamers and Youtubers get no pity from me when they complain about their problems or stupid shit like that. Most gamers would love to sit on our asses all day and play games for a living..

Most of that donation money is from some idiot out there who's using mommy's and daddy's credit card donating to them, for what? A 5 second pop up that makes them center of attention for a split second? ...

Can imagine their staff meetings "Louis! What went wrong!? We did so many internal brainwashed focus groups that said the masses would love this bare bone minimum game! They said they would continue playing even if it was a broken mess and had to pay $15 per Javilin skin!... I don't understand why our numbers are so low! FIRE EVERYONE, hire more diversity workers!.. Yes John may be the best writer in the business but he's WHITE, hire Ahmed instead!"

They had half of Edmonton working on DA4 since the end of Inquistion DLCs. Then at some point in 2017, the higher up in Bioware or EA, not sure who made the decision had everyone working on DA4 switch over to Anthem. Then a bunch of the team who were working on Dragon Age started to quit because they were being forced to work on something they had no passion on (Anthem). Like David Gaider, Mike Laidlaw, Aaryn Flynn, etc. I think it was Laidlaw? Or one of the writers for DA4 who said in a inte...

I seen tons of people complain about how it's too similar to Borderlands 2. I have to disagree with those people that it's a bad reason to not be excited for it, I can look back at few other games that got the exact same criticism for being too similar...

Fallout New Vegas compared to Fallout 3, Batman Arkham Origins compared to Batman Arkham City, and Assassins Creed Brotherhood compared to Assassins Creed 2.

The thing about those games though, I...

I live in the Midwest and even though I'm suppose to have 100mbps download, in reality I'm only getting about 5 to 10 because of my distance to the nearest city. Then the amount of time my internet is completely down? Yeah fuck that, streaming games will never work for us Americans who love to live rural

He knows how to write a good narrative, im always interested in any game that has his name as one of the writers for story. Still skeptical about EA but I trust Avellone to deliver

Looks interesting for something that went under my radar, might check it out if it doesn't have tons of bugs

Two of my favorite games ever scored "bad" with critics. MAG and Fallout New Vegas, so last thing I'll do is trust what a critic says. I'll play this for myself when I get around to it.

@powerofthecloud

What's Anthem? Do I get points for not knowing? 😆

If it's in your back log, like me. You should just hold out till all DLC is finished. Which should be by mid Summer. That way you'll be able to play it all in one go, rather start now then having to come back a few months later to finish the story. (Its like starting a movie, only to finish it 3 months later)

This made me so happy when I heard it, Notre Dame is one of the most beautiful churches of the Medieval world along with Hagia Sophia, St Peter's Apostolic Church, and the Cologne Cathedral. And to add that video games can help rebuild it thanks to laser scans the developers did a few years ago to make it as real as possible is amazing. Another reason why Gaming is a art form and should never ever be censored.

They already hinted at a avg 25-30 hour story, with many more if you're a completionist. So he's right to say 50 hours. Possibly more

I would think the competition in the long run be good, Steam will actually start improving and Valve will get off their lazy asses and start making games again like Half-Life and Portal.

But in the mean time, Epics store is so shit compared to Steam when it comes to missing features, anti-user reviews, etc.

2 hours is too high for me, i know within the first 30 mins whether or not I regret buying a game. Surgeon Simulator and Outlast are really the only two that come to mind. But does "regret" warrant a refund? It's a tough topic

There's also been only one occasion where I hated a game in first 30 mins but ended up loving it the longer I played, that was Wasteland 2

CD Projekt Red has another new RPG in development besides Cyberpunk?? Damn I didn't know that, makes me excited to hear what it is

While I do expect they'll do a few DLCs, you're overreacting about 100+ outfit pacts. Paradox Interactive is just the publisher, they aren't going to force the dev to push out dozens of DLC like EA does. Pillars and Tyranny didn't have a tons of DLC, neither did Magicika 2.

Paradox Game Development Studios on the other hand, the ones who make Hearts of iron, Crusader Kings, and Europa.. that's the studio you have to be skeptical of. From what i understan...

Perfect, would much rather it be a medium size with tons to do than a huge open world space that has no purpose. I also wouldn't mind a bunch of HUB worlds each with their own little flavor, Dishonored 1/2 and Metro Exodus are good examples.
