Agreed. I played it at E3 and it ran smooth, looked good enough, and played well - that's what matters most. Sacrificing story mode and sweat beads doesn't make this version that much inferior. It still has everything else, and something that the others don't - it's portable.
Sprites would have been cool, especially for Metroid, but I agree - I'll take what I can get! Bloodstained does look gorgeous though.
The first Resident Evil Revelations was ported to Wii U
It definitely doesn't feel worth the price, and I wouldn't say that because it's a mobile game. This just wasn't good enough to have a campaign so short, and there isn't really much incentive to collect the colored coins other than to put more assets into a shallow kingdom builder. Nintendo has released cheaper games that contain more content, like the outstanding BoxBoy series, so this was a mediocre disappointment.
I find myself randomly humming so many of these tracks to myself, almost unconsciously. Nintendo music has taken over my brain.
Super Castlevania is definitely the best of the series' linear games. The music alone makes it impossible to forget, but there's a ton of visual variety and a great Dracula fight. Simon still moves like an oafish tank, but his whip is agile enough to more than make up for it.
While I love both Fusion and Zero Mission, they don't have that same sense of organic exploration that Super Metroid has. There's a little too much pointing players in the right direction and letting them know where the objective is, at least in my opinion. It's a small nit, but I can't help feeling it every time I play them. Prime comes pretty damn close to being as good though.
I had no idea Stanley existed, but I'm all about getting the angry sun back.
