I think MGSV has the best gameplay in the series. So imo, it's really up there ;P.
I liked the Jim review (7/10). He was surprised by all the 10-s. Because he noticed so many frustrating things about the game. Clearly a man with a hid own opinion when you read through the review. I do think the 6 is suspicious.

No i know it's full of stuff and things to do. But the world looks barren and bland. Flat ugly textures, not lush, little variation in vegetation color. I think they could have done a much better job in art-direction to make it come to life more. I don't want it to look like Horizon Zero Dawn in art-direction, but boy do they know how to make the world feel alive. Even Red Dead Redemption did a better job at this.
It's still jaggy as fuck, barren and flat. Even the art-direction is way to inconsistent in this game.
I understand people WANT to be impressed with a Zelda game. So would i. But i'm not in ANY way with this game.
Asside from the core gameplay mechanics of course. I have no doubt the game is brilliant.
Byt he way, right now the average fps on PC emulator is 14 fps. So it runs like shit. Unplayable. But that will improve.

Sorry, but that was a bit of a silly reply, don't you think? As a home console, on your tv, it lacks in basically everything. I'm saying nothing wrong with that. It's a powerful handheld, for sure. But technology, like battery life, isn't quite ready for that. But it IS insane that you're playing WiiU games and more advanced games in the future on a Handheld.
Best to see it as a Good handheld with a TV out, just for practicality. As a home console, there...

The whole comparison is made to awaken downgrade debates. That's always the case.
But in this case it's kinda useless. Everybody knows the game looks insane. Some concessions were made, some other things were improved.. Result: still one of the best (if not: THE best) looking open world games ever.
Then the true shame is that it's on Youtube. Youtube compresses vids to hell and back.
