Cant really agree with all your points, if PIRACY was the only reason behind this then it shouldve released only exclusively on PS3 at that time! 360 piracy is also off the charts nowadays with games being leaked 2,3 weeks before official release!

My point exactly, like I said the next gen after ps4/x720 which is around 2023, I'm sure by then 90% of population has +30mbps connection.
I think, the next gen that comes after ps4/xbox720 is probably going to be cloud-based.
I think the next-gen competition will be divided into two categories: low-end (wii-u and ouya) for casual/kid games and high end (ps4 and xbox720) for core games
