Sorry but I don't understand how removing the "Other OS" functionality is giving you more security? Don't fall for that stuff man. Sony ain't doing anything for your benefits, not in a while.

I agree, it looks worse. I've read many comments here suggesting that this video shows graphics beyond GT5p, but that's just wishful thinking. And the ones trying to attack GT5p because of the smaller details like "this one tree right here, that ain't looking too good"... *sigh*

You all knew the demo wasn't going to be on that version yet everybody acts all surprised and pissed. The rest of us people who've waited on the Blu-Ray instead of buying it on DVD will welcome this. Of course I would love to play the demo but I'm not gonna enter the role of a 5-year old aggressive little child who doesn't get the candy he wants because it's not there.
Amazed at how negative people are about this. I think the title is funny though, it makes you think if making a profit has become somewhat illegal or a bad thing. And people are whining, I'm glad they're making a profit. Why? Because that means they've been smart and made you all buy stuff for much more than it's actually worth.
If you think about it, it's not a bad thing. Actually it's nothing to even think about. Can't you get other similar products like that cheaper and better...
I enjoyed reading this comment, because of the way you made it sound like the PS3 can't do this and can't do that. I'm assuming you're meaning the PS3 _version_ yes? The only 'thing' that can't if there's something missing in either version is the developers. I believe both systems are able to perform equally.

Loved the opening scene, looked awesome. Then it added smooth camera movement and you clearly see it kinda morphs into gameplay mode. I believe the graphics are gonna be tons better by release, because you could clearly see difference in quality between, for instance Kratos which looked really good and some of the monsters there and the blood etc. Definitely looked like an early build. I'm looking forward to seeing more, hopefully updated with kickass gfx cus the gameplay I already know is go...

I would say that this kind of "articles" is a rather waste of time :) You can't really say one service is faster than others, or put it like that. Like it's a fact. The person might have a bad connection to the server(s), crappy broadband etc. Many factors might play into that. I hope! Because like many other people here, mine goes seamlessly through :)

Wow, I'm amazed at how little people actually welcome new technology. It seems most people are satisfied with DVD and never want a new format?. There's also the "if product not equals instant success over night then it will probably fail" mindset that's ridiculous. I don't see a problem with Blu-Ray, do you? It might be somewhat expensive as of now but isn't every product kinda expensive when it's new and hot? I don't there's any disadvantages by using Blu-Ray is there? More content...

Btw, does Sony require mandatory installs? I mean.. Does it say on a contract or anything that every game needs to have installs? ;S I'm confused since many of you said that. I thought it was up to the developers, maybe I'm wrong.. :) I also thought that maybe Uncharted ran fine without installs? Are the loading times huge in that game? I seem to have read somewhere that they actually stream pretty well off of the BR disc. Meh, maybe it was all a lie...
I'm gonna buy it and then use it to destroy the X-box and the game! Just kidding.

I hope this aint true though, it would be really sad but looking at what people are willing to do for products and other stuff it might have just happened. So sad though :( I guess everybody was kinda let down when the announcement came but hopefully everybody is over that now and ready for some Final Fantasy! I know I am.. ;)
I have to say I'm quite disappointed. This update didn't bring anything to the table. It merely removed a feature that many people use. Don't give me the crap that "It doesn't matter because no one was really using it" or "I'm glad Sony did that, increased my security". That's not the point and it's untrue to say the least.
It's like you're playing a game against someone and you start to realize you're losing and start cheating a little so you can stay on top...
