OK so something is happening I just turned my ps3 on to and for real giggles I tried to sign in and I got a different error code. There's no more "Down for maintenance" message. Now it says "You have been signed out." PROGRESS!?!?!

You cant realistically expect more than what Sony has shown in any other E3. Sure they can announce games before they wanted to or sweeten the welcome back program. But trailers take months to finish so don't expect to see a high profile exclusive just to balance out he hacks.
All the numbers here are purely speculative. And to compare it to the RROD lets see.

I kinda agree with you but only because the 1st game was grossly underrated.
What you say is true to an extent. I have a 360 but I will never pay M$ to allow me to access the internet I already pay for. Never, never will I pay for Live. Hell I'd buy a gaming CPU and get Steam if it was that important.
Good, On one hand I would love to see Battlefield take the crown from COD. On the other hand that means the COD campers and kiddies will be playing the same game as me. The lessor of the evils is for Battlefield to reign supreme.

You know as much as I loved Uncharted 2, I played Uncharted: DF more. That game was just a technical masterpiece in 2007. I played through DF 4 or 5 times, while I only played thorough U2 2 or 3 times.
Hugging aside I'm sticking with Sony until I stop gaming altogether. Plus its not like they did this to themselves.
