It's gameplay feels more like a god of war game than a DMC game.
Edit: Nothing wrong with God of War, but it's not the same gameplay as DMC.
I hate how they say that they're staying true to the core combat mechanics. How is that true? Because it's a hack and slash? Making DmC like god of war is not staying true to the series.
First off, I've played both games.
Enslaved and Heavenly Sword had amazing stories, but, neither of the writer of enslaved or heavenly sword, worked with DmC, Ninja Theory themselves are writing it it.
DMC's genre doesn't focus on the story, it focuses on the gameplay, DMC was not successful because of it's cheesy one liners or it's backstory, but because of it's amazing gameplay, and that game play is completely gone from DmC.

It's a bit embarrassing seeing Capcom resort to damage control, I hope they learn from their mistake.
But enslaved and heavenly sword where horrible.
I mean truly some of the worse of the genre.

The game was not that confusing, and as I said, we do have the right to be upset, because they didn't just change the appearance, but the core gameplay, DMC was loved by fans because of it's amazing gameplay and hard difficulty, the new DMC forgot about that, the new gameplay feels nothing like DMC and is incredibly easy, the stylish system is a joke and you never encounter more than 5-6 enemies at once, as far as I'm concerned, DMC 2 did a better job than Ninja Theory has.
I want something to spend all of my money on.
I think no one is trying to cancel the game, we just dislike it, and I hope you can understand why people get this upset. They're seeing their most beloved series change into something they don't like. I think anyone, no matter what they think of this game, can understand the frustration most fans have with this game. It goes without saying of course, that the changes to Dante's look, is the least f the problems with this game...
It's because you will be under NDA, and must playtest in their office, you can't paytets from home.
This has nothing to do with videogames and is a bad stereotype the gaming community gets. I'm all for removing them.
There really is no excuse for this game. You can't justify the on disk DLC, the horrible change in gameplay and all of the other problems with this game, by saying that it's fun.
I hope Capcom learns to cater to it's fans and not the masses, since that just doesn't work, and their best bet for money right now, is doing fan-service. I want Capcom to learn from their errors and return to former glory.
Here's to hoping DMC will return to it's roots one day.
Such a shame to see one of your favorite franchises die.
I got Stranglehold for 10 sek, that's like 1$, and I must say, the game is fun, if you play it for what it is.
