The truth is, sales don't matter at all. The only place console sales matter, are in the hearts and minds of fanboys, or to someone who actually owns stock in one of these companies.
BUT, If you want to declare a "winner" over sales, then give them an even amount of time. I don't know what about it perplexes you. It's strictly common sense.

Don't forget: There are multiple aspects to a console war. Sales, Hardware, Software. So far the Wii has the sales, and the PS3 has the Software and Hard...
You can put Move sales figures in front of an xbot and they'll know what to do with it. Ignore it.
You can ALSO put 12 exclusive games from the competition in front of them, and they'll know what to do with that too.....Ignore it.
You can even put the Wii's millions of sales on a chart comparing it to the 360 and PS3 and they'll know what to do with it. Ignore the Wii completely, and claim their system is winning due to sales.

Sales were brought up for Move because Xbots wrote off 2 mil Move units sold in one month as a failure, when just recently, MS stated that they were expecting 3mil Kinect units sold by Christmas.
