"Needless to say I'd rather not grant them access to God of War and such."
Why? When I was a kid I really liked to play games like Mortal Kombat or Nightmare Creatures and I watched some crazy gore movies. Now (+-30 yo) violence in games doesn't bother me at all and I personally am a Buddhist and do not ever use violence. I am really thankful to my parents for not censoring me games, movies and books back then. What age are your children and why do you think God of ...
WTF? Really? Cons: it's too familiar, "distinct sense of deja vu", action sequences similar to Uncharted 4.
I don't have a problem with the score - it's up to reviewer, and the review is ok imo, but how those things could be the major cons in the review of standalone dlc?
As a fan of Uncharted, familiarity is what I really want.
@Aenea. At least it is releasing at all... ;]
Than I am glad that novels are not just novels and movies are not just movies anymore. Now I have to wait till games stop to be just games. Sigh. Everything could be interpreted wrongly but that is ok. Imo art should be open to interpretations, it is perfect if people have many interpretations and talk about them, if there is just one, correct message, it becomes flat and a medium has less meaningful impact.
Imo author of the article is more toxic than Battlefieldlover. It is/was his private tragedy, It is pathetic to shout about it online. "God forbid you try and talk about it with anyone so a stranger on the internet can tell you how shitty you are for writing about it in some relevant way." Really? If I talk about my private matters with anyone, there is no online stranger who even knows about it. "This is exactly why people can't get close to each other anymore " Pople...
But they should give us a choice if we want to download it. I would love to delete Uncharted 4 MP from my PS4, it takes space and I play only single.
Agree, boring driving through the empty city between missions was final game-killer for me.
Could you give some examples when they did that? I don't follow Edge, ty.
Honestly, recently I really hate open world games. Cannot make myself to finish such masterpieces as FFXV, Witcher 3 or even MGSV. There are people who need 6-20 hours, full linear, story driven games like Hellblade, LoU or Uncharted.
So, Hellblade is not too linear. It is too linear for you. Everybody has his own taste.
It is. That is a shame that every f* website is already spoiling it. I do what I can to avoid spoilers but if thay put it in the title there is nothing I can do. Next time there will be major game coming out, I'm going completely offline.
SoW Microtransactions are perfect! Yes, perfect! They have never been better! Long time ago people had to play a game to achieve everything and developers had to properly balance single player experience. Now? Microtransactions are great and we are proud of them! Welcome to the 1984, citizens.
Too bad my PS4 doesn't read vinyls ;(
If it is boring running through the empty world? Of course I prefer loading screen, at least I could do something else, make a tea or something... Holding a button for a few minutes and doing nothing else isn't "playing".
Don't get me wrong, I like DW games and I had high hopes for that one, I just don't like that lazy game design and everything-must-be-open-world trend.
Yeah, people on n4g often comment without even reading the article. But, honestly, clickbait articles are guilty here - they are usually not worth reading (like this one).
And the fact that you know only english is your problem, man.
Looks bad for me. Like boring travelling through empty spaces between missions. I prefer loading screens. I don't like this open world plague.
@jugo14. Could you explain? There is clearly "32O", not "320". So I don't get, why he said there is 320 in the article. I got 3 downvotes so I guess there is something wrong with my comment and I would like to understand it. Thx.
No, they don't. It is you, who couldn't destinguish between O and 0. "O" or "ohm" is very often used in place of Ω, mostly because it is easier to type.
I got only to the chapter 3 and was bored. It's a shame because the game looks fantastic and I was remotely interested in the story. But those fights are so lifeless I was almost falling asleep.
Am I the only one who find it a little cringy?
