It may be sooner than many people think, and for much cheaper.

Very close to being able to simply print a screen on a substrate(i.e. glass, plastic, etc..). After that it is just a matter of electronics, which the tech is already there.

If your going to consider a game as great, or the best, then there should be accessibility to the game for all gamers, not just fans.

Some has already been released on the main D3 website, however most of it is new. A lot of it really looks good and, in my opinion, kind of debunks the idea that it is all rainbows and lolipops for the colors. A lot of it is concept art, but most of the time that look and feel is translated into the game.

Really looking forward to this game, I don't think it can come out soon enough.

The gameplay dynamics of all MGS games has always been way above average, however the story line, plot, and story telling have been the weak points.

You can say the story was epic all day long, but if you were to take the dialog, backstory, and every scene interaction and put it on paper for nearly any literature critic to read, they would say it was an incoherent and inconsistent story. What makes the attraction and connection is gameplay and interaction. Interaction and dynami...

I hate to state such an opinion but, it really goes to show the level of coding that was put into the game to optimize it for consumers when fans have to resort to creating mods to make the game run faster, smoother, and more efficient.

I understand that designing games for pc requires a lot of coding to make it viable for nearly any style of setup, but cmon. If your game doesn't run smooth on a 3k+ computer at high settings then its not solely the fact that the engine is so adv...

Angelitos, I disagree mainly due to the fact that his games employ great dynamics in action. His stories however tend to be a little heavy handed. I know this is mostly due to style in story telling and cultural emphasis on the importance of certain story elements, but even so they are heavy handed. I'm afraid that if he were to focus on an RPG that he would bring some interesting mechanics to a genre that could use something fresh, but the story, which is the focus of RPGs, would be unattrac...

I think the more likely scenario is that someone disagreed with him b/c he posted a question about the game that could be answered in under 10 seconds of browsing time.

So I guess the idea of adapting technology to other similar technologies didn't seem to occur within anyone's minds...

The only difference that the researchers made within the DVD was to change how the pits were made. This very simple adjustment of making the pits a V allowed for 9 times the normal data within the same space.

So again, I guess the idea of adapting this technology for blue ray disks to increase their storage capacity by 9 times never occured to anyo...

Thank you NDN_Shadow for the link. I was honestly a little discouraged by that footage until you pointed out that it was from 2007.

If people wonder why I say that, look at the first few seconds of footage and you see 8 NPCs pop in. Overall it seemed different from the official footage they have released too. As in textures and color pallet.

Offical footage does the game more justice than this, and if this is from 2007 it should be noted. I would hate to be convince...

I've played through the game twice now. First time I immersed myself in everything; enjoyed all of the cut scenes, explored every level, swept myself in the story. The problem I realized was revealed in my second play through. I was able to sneak through "nearly" every level and tried to kill as few people as possible, including every beauty/beast, and did all of it in a very minimal amount of time. The game play was a very minor aspect of the game while the rest of it was a movie. ...

Title of the list:
"The ten best videogame dads EVER!"

Quote from the article:
"He may not have been the best fatherly figure to Snake, Liquid, or Solidus, but Big Boss is easily one of the most fascinating and influential videogame dads of all time."

...Just because his son is a cool protagonist does not mean he was a good father, much lest one of the best. He's only on the list b/c Snake is a bad mofo.

Like many, many people have said on this site "its kojima". You place value on the creator because he has proven himself, and that value carries into interpretation of the final product. Its the reason why headlining developers names are mentioned boldly within the first minutes of the game, because it carries value.

Is it a 10? I don't think so. Is it an 8? I don't think so either. Does the developers reputation take part in the overall interpretation of the game? Yes....

Its a bias review that had little thought put into it.

"If I spent enough time with it (i.e. more than 15 minutes) I would probably be able to figure out what it is about it that doesn’t sit right with me."

written by the reviewer in the comments of the article. He's allowed to play for a very short period of time from the middle of the game and feels it is incoherent when he has no idea on how to play or what to expect. Imagine you were thrown into a metal...

NG2 was a let down, GT5:P is basically a glorified demo. GeOW2 and Fable 2 are big titles, but their not competing against MGS4 much less GT5:P. They are competing against R2, LBP, and Socom. Though some don't want to admit it Too Human is a big title too so you have to factor that in. There are many other titles coming out for 360 and PS3, but yea those are the headliners and though the articles points don't exactly connect logically, the 360's lineup isn't as dominating as the prior years. ...

I think a pokemon MMO is a brilliant idea. Implement the duel system within WoW and a unique combat system and the game could be amazing if coupled with the combat dynamics of pokemon. I've never been a big fan of pokemon, honestly haven't played much if any at all, but I think the concept in itself is great. It could give the fuel needed to kick start MMO's on consoles honestly, at least Wii anyway.

"which may, or may not include tentacles."

I found that hilarious.

I agree with a lot of what you said. You really have to anticipate the idiosyncrasies of games from another culture and be aware that many things may not translate well. I do think though that accepting problems just because they are known to exist is like making exceptions for the sake of accepting the game more.

Many of the problems people may find with the game like what you ...
