That is nearly double the length from what I expected this game to be. I hope it's good. Might be cool if the stealth is good. Fingers crossed, but my hopes are not high.
Studio had anywhere from 11 to 19 people working there. Surprised to learn they were an extremely small studio. Hope they can land on their feet. Interested to find out what happened in the following weeks.
You really think they should "shadow drop" another game or two? I would think that would be a bad idea. It didn't do the last shadow dropped game any favors. I really just hope they show actual gameplay for the reveals. I am so sick to death of CGI trailers at this point. Unless they are announcing something completely new with a little CGI teaser, like what Insomniac did with Wolverine.
Would love to get a look at the new Indiana Jones game. Also see the progress on Avowed and see what they are doing with Fable. That's what I'm hoping for. Would also like to see what Hellblade 2 gameplay looks like. First one was really lacking in that department.
None of those are 1st party. None are from any studio Sony owns
If this is true, then why did Arkane say they would support this game more than any other game they've ever created? I take that to mean more content and updates for the game post launch than any other game they've released. So if they thought it was such a failure, then why would they say this?
This masterpiece influenced a ton of developers. Changed a lot of what people though gaming was capable of in a story telling sense.
I agree and me too. Got my eye on this one.
I think Starfield will release in a good enough state. I think the game will be a solid 7,8 or 9 out of 10. Redfall gave Phil and co. a big kick in the pants. They know everything is riding on Starfield. I predict a lot of Xbox fans will breathe a sigh of relief after the game releases. Just my opinion. Todd learned his lesson from Fallout 76 and Phil learnt a lot from Redfall release.
It could also mean that internally, the people that are making these higher scoring mock reviews, are complete sycophants. Yes men that are afraid the throw a wrench into the positive momentum they might have had going behind the scenes. No one to shine a light on the cold hard truths of the situation.
Was this game always supposed to be a 4-player open sanbox co-op game from it's inception?
Or when MS announced it's desire to purchase Zenimax in 2020, did they have a say in forcing this game to be made with a "good for gamepass" mindset to it's overall mechanics and design?
Did they take all the skills for a single character in a single player game and spread them out over 4 choosable characters in a multiplaer co-op game? I mean...
This fact should be embarrassing for Xbox and it's fans. You should demand a better standard of game. You should not just accept mediocrity or lackluster crap. "Well it's on gamepass". "Good enough for gamepass". Come on guys. Hoepfully you've got some bangers coming down the pipe, starting with Starfield. *fingers crossed
A long term gamepass subscription is a waste of money for all but the most hardcore of hardcore multiple-games-at-once players. Same goes for the added extra tiers of PS Plus. Just my opinion though. Maybe some disagree and that's fine.
I really feel like MS are making sure a lot of games will be made around gamepass. Just speculation, but I feel like Redfall was supposed to be a single player game, but in 2020 MS told them to make it 4 player online co-op and make it a...
There's nothing I hate more than bad and easy AI in games.
Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't Arkane say they would be suporting Redfall for a really long time? Like with content and stuff. I'm not sure.
"Arkane has described Redfall as being its most supported game. What that means is it will receive more post-launch DLC than any other Arkane game to have come before it." -from somewhere in google :)
I agree with you. Redfall will be forgotten about pretty damn quickly. I'm thinking Xbox will have a pretty good showcase this time. Lord knows they need it. Hope we get to see some Indiana Jones and Fable.
EDIT: @ Jeece, Order 1886 was not a 1st party game in the slightest.
From Xbox I'm hoping to see some Avowed and Indiana Jones. Fable too.
Of course MS should be blamed. They ultimately made the decision to release it. They would have played it beforehand, multiple times during the development process to check on how it was progessing. They knew it sucked and had major problems. They released it anyway. I mean it's good enough for gamepass, right? RIGHT? If MS come out and say they had nothing to do with it, I would refuse to believe them. As if no one at Xbox had any idea about the state of the game before release. What I w...
Nice little gift by Microsoft. I wonder will this "boost" active users of gamepass? If you don't want to pay 1 dollar for gamepass, don't worry because MS will let you get it for free now.
But I'm pretty sure shadow dopping that game affected sales, at least according to Jeff Grubb.
IMO, I still don't know if shadow dropping games is a good idea. Why not build them up, raise the game's profile and then release it? Don't you think?
"2 million players and expanding tango game works workforce?"
Yeah, maybe if it wasn't shadow dropped it could have had 4 million players and a lot more sales. Maybe lol.
