Because most people don't like gaming subscriptions and they don't want to stay subscribed. It's that simple.
Netflix is easy to stay subbed to and you feel good doing it. Media like that is easy to consume and super fast and a quick fix.
Games are different. They just are. Most people don't want to sub to a gaming subscription. If they sub at all... it will only be for the shortest time possible to play what they want and they will bounce...

You don't understand. They made many quality of life improvements for the game too. The rolling. The animations. So much more. Of course they didn't make a new game, that was not their job. It was to REMAKE this classic. They have made the game BETTER than it was.
SSX was pretty special for the PS2 launch I will give you that. ME and my friends spent many many hours on the demo alone.
But I will choose Demon's Souls as the best PS launch game ever.

I'm a Sony fan and I agree. It's great for me too because I have a gaming PC. I can play any of their massive AAA games for the cost of a 1 month sub. Unsub straight after I finish the game. Gamepass is great.

Think about it. Elder Scorlls 6 could sell upwars of 40+ million FULL PRICE. But if it only releases on Gamepass and not on Playstation, then they will lose Hundred of millions of dollars. Oh for sure. Most will Sub in for the first time. Play and finish the game, and then sub straight out. It will make you feel like a thief lol. Millions and millions of people will do just that.
If that turns out to be the case, then no big deal. Can play them on PC Steam or GamePass on PC for 10 dollars, finish the game, and then unsub. All for pennies. So as a mainly Playstation gamer, I say THANK YOU MS.
Gamepass is amazing value. Getting to play a massive AAA title like Elder Scrolls 6 for only 10 bucks. That's it. You can't fault them lol. I will take advantage while I can. XD

I wouldn't say it's really that hard for people who are used to Souls games. But if you've never played any Souls games, then it would definitely be pretty hard and brutal.
I still remember when I first played Demon's Souls on PS3 before any of the other souls games were even made. I just thought it was a standard medieval rpg lol. I nearly gave up during the first area, but I persisted and it became my favourite game of all time overtaking FF7 on PS1.
Remaking this game, has actually made the game better. The atmosphere, the feel of the controller, the sound. It was a masterpiece then, and it's a masterpiece now. We can only hope that Demon's Souls 2 is in the works at FromSoft (concurrently with Bloodborne 2 hehehehe)
