Listen if it was 720p then it wouldnt be playing in 1080p with the 720p option selected like COD4 and GTA4.
MGS4 must be native 1080p. I have just got it (Im from the U.K) and it plays in 1080p even when the 720p option is selected in the display settings of my T.V.

Edge are one of the worst out there I stopped reading there reviews years ago. They seem to underate great games and overate average ones ie GTA4.

I have the same TV, to play GTA4 on 1080p you need to turn off the 720p setting and leave it at 1080p. The TV should then upscale to 1080p. The reason u have to do this is because GTA4 is not native 1080p.
MGS4 will probably be as perfect as a game can get this gen.
Tmac actually is right. IGN review in decimals an 8.5,8.6 would have been a good score. An 8.0 is poor. There are sites that dont use decimals ie GamesRadar from them an 8/10 is a good score dont u understand? Obviously Closing doesnt have the brain power.

Remember it got 8.0 out of 10 not 8. An 8/10 is a good score but 8.0 is mediocre.

IGN AU are guite harsh though they did give MGS4 95/100.
This has had too much average/below average scores to be considered AAA. Even gamespot gave it 8.0. You guys need to remember it got 8.0 out of 10 and not an 8. An 8/10 is a good score but 8.0 is below average.
NG2 BIG flop
I think GS will give MGS4 an 8.9, although it deserves an 95+ score they just wont have the balls to give it 9 or above. This way they are not giving it too low a mark to look ridiculous ie 7.5 for ratchet and 8.0 for Uncharted can you believe that? Anyway the funny thing is most people dont take there reviews seriously anymore they have TOTALY lost credibilty. Man they were one of my fav sites back in the PS2 days.
