Seeing the Helgast using the Lost Planet graphics engine really makes you appreciate how wonderful the Killzone 2 graphics engine is.

Why make Ape Escape look like a PS2 game when PS3 technology exist?
The reason I think GT5 will do between 12-15 is because of what Gran Turismo 3 did. (almost 16 Million)O and The PS2 had a much smaller install base when GT3 launched than the PS3 does now for GT5.
Gran Turismo 3 did so much better than the rest because people were really excited to see what the first PS2 GT game could do. The anticipation seems to be bigger this time around for GT5.
I think Halo3 did so very well (almost 11 Million) for the same reason. ...
GT5 will probably sell between 12-15 Million units worldwide, and it will push at least a Million PS3's into peoples homes. This also depends on how great the game is.
As long as Polypony didn't screw it up (and I highly doubt they did) it will absolutely kill most exclusives in sells. (excluding those crazy selling Wii titles of course)
Im not trying to say that 1.6 isn't alot, but for a game that is sitting at 96 on Metacritic (one of the highest rated games this gen)it should be well above that.
Compare Mass Effect 2(96@Meta) to Final Fatasy 13 (83@Meta)and you will see just how much quality gets rewarded compared to advertising.
FF13 sold 3 times as much as Mass Effect 2 did with a significantly smaller score. you can say the same about alot of games.

It is a damn shame that a game that scores so high at Metacritic does only 1.6 Million across two consoles. (talking about Mass Effect 2)
I guess quality doesn't sell games anymore. This is why game developers are still creating such garbage and getting away with billions of dollars in sells.
If you think that Natal is going to be a great addition to hardcore games, the you are going to be a very sad gamer come later this year.

1. Add longer development time.
2. Use up money from the budget instead using it for content.

I am excited about Crackdown 2. I think the first Crackdown is the 3rd best title the 360 has. (After Mass Effect 1&2 of course) but Im with you 357, my most anticipated game is without a doubt Gran Turismo 5.
I Also am realy looking forward to Fable 3 & The Last Guardian.
If these game developers would utilize the Keyboard & Mouse on the PS3, then they would become alot more popular on PS3.
RTS games dont work too well with controlers. They need a Keyboard & Mouse to be fully utilized.
I would love to be able to play Civilization V or Starcraft 2 on my PS3, but until I can play those games using a Keyboard & Mouse I dont think it will happen any time soon.

I can live without online features on the Wii, but I cant tolerate playing games using motion controls.

Graphics dont make games fun, but considering that we pay $65 a game now, there is absolutely no reason we should get our games with half a$$ed Graphics & Sound.
If we are paying HD prices for our games, then we should be getting HD products. Games on the 360 & PS3 should run in at least 720p and utilize True HD audio with the prices we pay.

Sony needs to start utilizing the Keyboard & Mouse feature on the PS3 so we can have a shot at playing those type of great games on our PS3's.

You are basing the overall quality of Halo on Multiplayer alone.
Bungie did alot of things right, but that doesn't take away from all the things they half assed. There games aren't the complete package, their Multiplayer is. Bungie is not a top tier developer, because they only put effort into half of their experience instead of the whole experience.
