This seems somehow familiar. ;)
Strange how some deal in absolutes isn't it?
If you can't completely eradicate (and you can't) "yellow journalism" (I like that term thorstein) you shouldn't bother at all? Yeah I'm goin' to have to call BS there.
It's going to take effort (like most worthwhile things) to achieve any sort of inroads to alter the current state of "YGJ" (figure it out). I think that's wh...
Who here trusted kotaku anyway? I'm being serious. How many fishy articles have they run over the years?
The sad thing is that it's not just kotaku (this doesn't excuse their behavior and they should be made an example of). This is just another example of gaming "journalism" in general.
How many times have you (yes you!) seen sites write baseless, biased, sensationalist smears? It's a lot wouldn't you agree? Then, after the fact ...
All this fuss over a forum post? Re-posted as news on a site so new you know it's still gooey? Then finally posted as a rumor on N4G? The desperation in here is frightening.
I hope this is true. I really do. It'd be great. I'm just not getting my hopes up. I'll wait for proof.
Edit: An eye for an eye huh? For me it was an i for a u. Don't get it? Good!
If you mean legit specs from Nintendo then no. Nobody in here has. The guy who wrote this crappy article hasn't either.
This is the interwebz though so let the BS commence!
Let me see if I've got this right. The Vita is sinking and the 3DS is a floater. That about the size of it?
What I wouldn't give for some accountability for gaming "journalists" (that's pronounced douche bags by you and me;)).
I'd like to personally thank bagogames for their timely review. You guys really helped me out with this one.
Can you do me a solid and review Folklore next?
*shakes head*
Edit: *shakes head again*
I went cold on the whole AC series. I think 3 might be a good place to get back into it. It just seems more interesting then the others for some reason.
This is reminiscent of so many cases that seem to crop up. Where people that don't actually have any insight into a persons' mindset at or prior to an atrocity are asked their opinion. Pat Brown gave this one (that's the one you just read the headline of in case you were wondering).

Don't you get sick of making duplicate accounts?
Edit: OT: Funny how the very people who are now saying graphics don't matter are the ones that were making claims about the WiiU being a graphical powerhouse not so long ago?
Seriously. Wouldn't it have been easier to just wait and see rather then create the situation you now find yourselves in?
I know, I know. Commonsense isn't really common and all that but God damn! You think...
You're on the money 'ton.
The thing I found most amusing though was the use of term "over-exploiting" in the title. Like sayin' "Exploitation's fine" but this is "over-exploitation".
Oh well. I guess it had the desired (sensational) effect. Still...makes me laugh.
Long story short: Metacritic has become nothing more than a marketing tool. Much like IGN has been for some time.
"Nice, good to see some actual analysis rather than just here they are. thanks" - Yeah, it's always good to see people post news from a site you work for right Jamie?
Yeah, I took a look at your comment history and there's a recurring theme. I'll leave it at that but don't think you're foolin' anyone.
OT: Zealots on all sides make things tiresome but let's be honest here. A large part of the current mess surrounding the Wii U is of Nintendos' making. They could end a massive amount of speculation, BS and smear by simply providing the specs to the public.
Unless of course there's a reason the...
You raise some valid points. Animation does indeed contribute to story telling.
Hell. Look at the earliest form of film. Silent films relied heavily on the movement, facial expressions and interaction of characters to convey story elements.
The problem is that a lot of Devs take the view that their audience is stupid and unable to grasp subtlety. As such we usually get a simple story that we're hit over the head with at every turn and purely utilitarian a...
@ Cat: So my prize is that you stop in and insult me?
I like it. It's something I'd do.
@GtUK: I can respect that. Cheap hits seems to be the general theme there.
Congratulations guys (and Pozzle). I can't think of anyone more deserving. Oh screw it! Yes I can.
Cat where the hell are my prizes?!
I don't put in any effort and I don't do anything outstanding. I demand you recognize my awesome! It's been years of half-assed mediocracy and no result!
Well MysticStrummer. You need to look at it like this:

Make sense now?
Thanks guys. I'd like to address your comments if I may.
@ E_E: I don't believe it but thanks anyway.
@ beans: No but I'll take credit for it.
@ Silent: I see what you did there.
Now if you'll excuse me. It's time for a drink.
I know how you feel.
I actually try to go through the pending section looking to approve news and report crap according to the posting guidelines.
I get PMs from "journalists" (that's bloggers to you and me) demanding I allow their piece approval. Some of the crap that comes out of them is insane. Then you have sites that try and spam approve their pieces (using their staff or multi accounts) and become enraged when called on it.
Let it go man.
Edit: I edited.
