Agreed. The changes already implemented, along with the ever expanding and planned content changes in Cataclysm should do well at revamping and breathing even more energy into the gaming giant we all know as World of Warcraft.
I for one would like the change and personally need something other than the usual WoW fantasy landscape.
Now that you mention that, I completely agree with you. Really, where do they expect to go with it?

Having done some pretty heft time in Counter Strike, I most specifically look forward to the Gun Game and it's implementation.
First off, the controversy that constantly surrounds this game only helps to continue the hype...whether or not someone enjoys the game or not, it doesn't affect the overall bulk of people that in fact...purchase the game.
I'll admit that treyarch in the past has made their notoriety from building off of previously innovative work, but I honestly believe that Black Ops is their opportunity to shine and show individuality as a developer.
But in PC_Rage...
Treyarch appears to be doing a tremendous job at showing they are the new front-runner's for Activision with the Call of Duty franchise.
As in the auto adjust on xbox?
That was my main concern...interested to see not only how easily accessible, but also how over powered the flamethrower is in Black Ops. Im thinking something along the lines of the range of a shotgun...hopefully nothing even close to something like the FAL shotty in MW2.
I'd say that the inclusion of flamethrowers is one of the things I'm looking forward to most.
Maybe a Medieval themed game? I'd personally like to see Treyarch take over the Modern Warfare series and expand that in the areas that IWNet failed.
Everyone's gonna be trying to get their server populated ASAP...hope GameServers wont have any major issues at launch.
This is something I am really looking foreward to. Gonna be a great tool for teaching my team map knowledge, tactics, and tips in Black Ops when it comes out!
We'll probably see a subscription based FPS in the coming years, will it work? Probably not but I'm sure they will try. If its not subscription based they might try to implement a cash shop.(thats worked well for other titles...not)
Most notably, LOTRO was killed by the F2P model yet is still advertised etc...only time will tell.
