Kratos is the God of War in reputation not in throne title. His trail of destruction makes him the God of War.
Its not about whether there are Gods and Goddesses or Trans Gods' existing in the concept of the divine realms.
It's about God of War. Specifically where it is today. It could be Kratos' journey and like all things end, maybe God of War will have a fitting end that doesnt need to be prolonged by another angle. In rare occasions we see something as good as the latest God of War but here the continuity is maintained in some sense.

You can put your controller down anytime. It's called self control.
Games of the future with absolute zero loading screens will allow varied pacing. You know like in real life, you choose your pace on things. Highly immersive games will get there. Zero loading will forever kill loading. This is it.
That's pretty normal. It was the same with all of their previous titles. The last one I was a part of was Star Wars Squadrons and Anthem before that.

It isnt that horrendous. Yes the game deserves a stellar ending and this was good all the way except till the last minutes. Theres a moment at the end that almost had me in tears, it was that good. And then it went to shit. Wont say any more.
