Its becuase Diablo franchise was popularized by pc gamers since Diablo 1.
Now we have AAA name game with a huge fanbase, reduced to a mobile game.
Devs dont have to make the effort anymore and people will settle for less and they are already settling for less. Look at many games over the year...

Yes the microtransactions are completely ignorable if you dont want more power and the feeling of progression. This isnt even about leaderboards. Im talking about mid to high lvl power for related difficulty tiers and clear speeds that you would see in Diablo 3 or any other arpg.

Its a downgraded Diablo 3 thats fun till lvl 30. Exactly when the lvl gating kicks in.
The gear you earn means nothing. The pay 2 win gems provide a gigantic boost to your gear.
There is no misinformation from the gamers side.

Once you hit lvl 30, your levelling slows down to a crawl. We all know why.
Its an average game up to lvl 30, which is a few hours and then its a terrible game.
When the core of the Diablo game itself is monetized, the game is done.
