Every other game of the year nominee had so much generic going for them but yet people here will only nitpick Zelda.
Regardless, it will win everywhere.
Of course Zelda deserved it.
Who writes these odd articles? The award is over. Nitpicking is for sore losers.
Zelda will win everywhere. I have played all the AAA this year and Zelda is easily the best game of the year. Mario comes second in gameplay and charm, but Zelda is just that much more grand.
Zelda is the only game this year where you could get lost doing anything. It gives people ADD. Its that good.
This and Black Desert online are terribly optimized games.
I'm not damage controlling anything here. The look and art style of the game is well maintained but there is a noticeable difference. I think they did a good job considering the sheer scope of the game. It can definitely be alot better but its not terrible.
Look at these undocked videos. They are definitely not hd in any way but for handheld it works out pretty decent. And once again, as i stated, it does have a noticeable difference from docked to undocked. But its no...
Love the combat. Never gets old.
Good, fleshed out story. Interesting characters. Long story, well worth it.
Gorgeous environments.
Game mechanics may seem complicated at first but there are a ridiculous amount of fleshed out tutorials.
Once you get the hang of the gameplay, the depth of the mechanics start showing. Its very well done.
Plays great overall.
Cons:
Handheld mode is decent but could be better. Game still loo...
Every site, every proper critic, every game award function will award ZELDA:BOTW because of this.
''the first proper open-world rendition of Hyrule is among the most compelling and captivating environments we’ve ever played. Its go-anywhere-do-anything design, aided by revelatory traversal mechanics and the sum of hundreds of tiny but incredible details culminates to produce a truly astonishing game. Breath of the Wild hasn’t just shaken up the Zelda franchise, it’s...
HZD is not as open world as Zelda.
I have played pretty much all the AAA games of the year and Zelda might just be the most open world, sandboxy, vertical, non linear title ever in existence.
I believe the critics are being sensible in their selections. Go anywhere besides here, and the story is almost entirely on Zelda. I believe gamers from this site should expand outwards a bit in gaming choices. They won't regret it.
Zelda is truly open world in so many ways. Don't think any game has hit this mark yet in terms of open world. GTA V is probably the only challenger.
Nier has a pretty unique world, not very open but cool.
HZD is another decent open world feel. Not as open world as Zelda. Still quite limited.
This year had some quality open world titles.
Don't get me started on her.
Prometheus Lens is so broken that PVP has dried out in the game.
Everytime some player has that gun, the entire opposition squad leaves.
PVP has never been this broken.
Relax.
It's over.
The deserving already won.
Drink some water.
Relax again.
Now think about it again.
Zelda won.
It's ok to cry.
Just think about how you got to play all those games this year. Awesome isn't it.
Meantime I shall download the Champions Ballad dlc.
Well deserved.
What a great way to close such a stellar year for Nintendo.
Champions Ballad dlc and then GOTY.
Bravo.
Nintendo is on a roll.
They fooled me twice. Fuck
Agreed. Zelda might just edge out over Mario.
Show to announce game cancellations.
Laughs at you when you drink bad milk.
As long as Nintendo is alive, there will be single player games.
''Don't know why people are so worked up about it...I couldn't give a crp..!''
You clearly cared enough to comment.
