I hope this is also released on PSN and Xbox Live too, I would buy it in a heart beat, even better if they release it for the PSN and be compatible with the PSP, that would rock.
I have allot of respect for Epic but there are somethings that they can't do, they could never do a game like MGS 4, they can't even do a decent story which is one of the main attractions in any MGS game, every little pixle in that game is high ris, something they need years to do rather than use the same codes in every game.
Anyway this passive entertainment is actually what we call almost perfect game.

I had a shiver all the time I was playing that part, really perfect for the fans and even players who never played MGS 1 felt something during that stage.

I suggest that you leave MGS 4 for last cause when you play it anything else after it won’t seem as good as they really are, it’s really a whole new experience that will make you feel every other game is flawed in a way or another.
But skip Area 51 it’s not worth your time, Uncharted is one of the best.
So the rumors about an update coming on the 18th was true after all, they just got the firmware number wrong ;)
I think Square-Enix has nothing to worry about any more, I mean if Metal Gear Solid 4 sold more than 400K in 4 days in Japan (and more than 1.3 M on the 1st day worldwide) then imagine how well FF13 will do in Japan alone not to mention there will hopefully be a larger user base there by then.
All this time and it's still %50, it's supposed to be releases last November, when they told us that the game needs a "little" more time I thought maybe %70-%80 not below %50.
Good luck seeing it outside of Japan this year.
I hope this new firmware doesn't add any issues to our PS3's like some past firmwares and it's nice to be finally confirmed that 2.4 is gona rock all we need now is a release date.

It doesn't have to be "colorful fighting game", it could be some mature fighting game like Tekken, even better they could ask Namco to do it or Insomniacs (I would love to see what they can do with a fighting game).
That is true but one of the main reasons PS3 isn’t selling that much in Japan is the size of the console, it’s too big for their homes, also people who are seeking a Blu-Ray player find the PS3 to be too bulky, so they might do the “slim thing” earlier than usual this time around.
