I agree, Sony is testing the climate and weather they should include HDR movies...I believe it can be updated with a firmware update!
Not sure what the problem is here, see HDR movies are relatively new and expensive with them costing around $30 a pop! See HDR movies are not even that many in number, totaling less than 50 titles if even that many lol so why focus on it now...now is not really the time to concentrate on that as the cost of the system would also go up? See ...
Agreed, more likely $599!
"Haha wowwww that's the exact argument against blu Ray in PS3 when it came out. It ended up being a huge plus for Sony."
Yes while it blu-ray did become a success for Sony it made the ps3 way more expensive $600! Mainly because it was new tech...that's why HDR movies are not gonna be supported like that, nobody wants to pay more for an extra that has not become mainstream and is not completely supported even by the movie industry yet!
More than likely it will release along side or shortly after the release of the movie buddy, next year for sure!
I'm pre-ordering right now, I like the price-point and cool with what Sony is offering! Who really want to wait over a year for a slight bump of 1.8t when I can enjoy them now?
See this will be going on for more than a year, the excellent gaming to be had on the P4p in 4k, right now and not over a year down the road! Game after game from this point forward will have the most impressive and best experiences on the playstation and nowhere else.
The only defense that fanboys will take is the same tune of, "The game won't be running 4k native..." lol who cares! We have a system that offers great gaming with upscaled 4k and that's ...
Yes Spiderman is looking awesome, I mean that's what it's all about right there...gaming! I mean I love the direction Insomniac is going with this title, a perfect fit for the company.
That gets me wondering though, I like it, you like it but the gaming community is so critical and toxic this gen...when it releases they will be like but but it's not native 4k 60fps! Sigh who cares? How many broadcast are native 4k, how many HDR movies are there? Not many, a ...

See it's a gaming system first and foremost and a whatever else extra 2nd...pretty simple concept and the reason I will be buying the upgraded system no ...
That's a nice price point for the ps4, I already have one but will be getting the p4p for my 4k television...will use the current one for my other non 4k so I'm pretty happy right now.
I think it is!
They shifted focus long ago, putting all their eggs into one big basket console hybrid it seems...also if true will fail!
It shouldn't be on the Neo, cmon you know they have a neo version right!
Once Nintendo gets any positive advancement or any sort of hold on anything they enforce all these rules and regulations...remember Nintendo 64! I won't buy Nintendo anything really because I never want a industry were they are market leader...omg it would be so bad.
@Devil, Final fantasy 7 remake won't be for another couple years at least lol.
Well N4G you've pretty much leaked everything that is most likely to be expected...ps4 slim, mock up images of the ps4 Neo, suspected games that might be shown! It's borderline sabatoage...great job lol!
I saw this miles away lol
lol they shouldn't wait so long to announce them then!
Their not real dude, go take your blood-pressure meds and sit down...
I like it, sounds fun and very creative!
Okkkk and the problem is what? I see no problem with the playstation pro! 4k and HDR are not mainstream enough to fully support right now, however when ps5 comes on the scene in like 2020 or something then we can have fully native 4k or higher! They not trying to make a big jump here, it's not next gen yet so hold on up there buddy...
