They don't do this for the same reason I turned off the game auto start on both my psp and ps3. Because auto launching is a waste of time if you don't want to use that program. If you wanted to watch a movie, listen to music, go to the PS store, surf the net, PLAY A GAME, you would have to exit home.

There are already XBox trolls spouting garbage. They run around telling everyone, and I mean everyone, how much Home sucks. But when they're gone everyone just goes back to having fun.
I fear you have missed the point entirely.
Nintendo has never cared about having their consoles do anything but play games. Plus DVDs will do them just fine for HD gaming. (See XB360) How cheep will DVDs be by then?

I love the MGS series way more than the Tomb Raider series but this is a list of Hot Chicks, not great games.
The fact that Left 4 Dead was even nominated for GoTY proves, to me at least, that Xplay is ether bias or just plain stupid. Seriously, if Left 4 Dead deserves a nomination, why wasn't Portal nominated last year. That game was way funner, more inventive, and over all better IMO.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't the signal degrade after 25 feet?
