I've actually played all of those except for Lost Odyssey, but this article doesn't really explain why Lost Odyssey is good.

Well, with Helm's Deep they are aiming to let players get in on the action at level 10, at least for the Battle of Hornburg part, but otherwise most of the expansions are all aimed towards high level players.
I want to agree, but they did link it in there in the first paragraph, which does give the reader the option to immediately stop reading the article and go watch the video instead.
Not sure how they could justify spitting on many of their most faithful fans.

I didn't know there was so many people that really loved XIII so much, but the writer in this post, and his two previous ones on XIII, really made me want to give the game a shot again.
I'm glad they aren't going to try to modernize the game, merely make it easier to understand the rules.

I've gone from the perspective of a super small time gaming journalist to working on a medium sized gaming magazine, and while I wasn't able to get much done as small time journalist/blogger, we still had a few big companies entreat us and allow us to the same courtesy as the "elite" you seem to mention.
