I respect your opinion, but I'd have to disagree. I find the game the polar-opposite to dull. If you were going to say the game was dull, Halo Reach would fit the description better in my opinion. Halo takes skill (unlike Call of Duty) to take down the shields and kill. It's far from the 'first person to shoot gets the kill', in fact you could get shot twice or three times and still kill the other guy.

Again, I agree but all I'm saying is that things like these are difficult to change. When so many people are used to writing in this way, it becomes habit and breaking habits are hard things.
I absolutely agree but, it is sorta difficult to stop something which defines this site.
With large number of players, teams can't focus on the one 'carry' on the other team because there are like 15-31 other players on the other side. Because you're 1/16th or 1/32(th?) of the team, it's easy to feel the urge to camp due to have so many other players covering you.
When it's 4v4 or 6v6, each player is more vital to the team. You can't have that 'one' player who just afk's unlike 32v32.
