4chan is a sneaky hacker from 9gag.
All this video is just them running around and killing animals. It just looks like a giant tech demo. The question is how much of the world is actually intractable and if there is any good reason to explore it.
How am I not surprised, four male leads; the protagonist is a whiny emo, a brash and comedic sidekick, a nerdy and introverted friend who tags along and a giant meat-head who's only role in the story is to be strong and dumb. These archetypes are everywhere, and it...
But, wait... Gears of War is a third person cover based shooter, with very linear corridors and very repetitive gameplay. So, it's fine for Gears to do that, but when the Order does it, everyone turns into snob mode and shoots it down?
The hypocrisy is real.
I'm sorry, but I can't help but notice the hypocrisy. So, it's all fine and dandy to (rightfully) criticise a bland, repetitive and extremely linear third person shooter like the Order one minute, but praise games like Bioshock Infinite, Call of Duty and The Last of Us for sharing those very same traits. I am most likely going to get a LOT of hate for mentioning The Last of Us in a negative fashion, but I can't just ignore the fact that the game is extremely similar to that of...
No combat? I disagree, I've played many very memorable and excellent games where combat was either optional or a big part of it.
Elder Scrolls, Dark/Demon Souls, Metal Gear, Thief 1-3, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and many others. All of these games are masterpieces and still have combat in one form or another.
I'd argue that the original Thief games are great combat free games. If you play on the hardest difficulty, you can't kill or you fail the mission.

Completely agree, it's been a long time since I've played a game that actually innovates, and I have a feeling Mordor will set the benchmark for upcoming sandbox action games. And it's completely full on LOTR lore, which is great for me.
It's like the game Assassin's Creed should have been.
Dragon Age 3 and Evil Within
Something is wrong with 2014. Every game that I have hyped myself up for so far this year have been massive disappointments. The only game which turned out to be actually good was Wolfenstein, but the rest were utter shit; Thief 4, ESO, etc...
Thief 4 was terrible. My favorite video games of all time are the Thief trilogy, so I was immensely hyped for it's return.
I was expecting massive non linear levels, well written characters and story, stylistic cut scenes, revolutionary stealth mechanics, unforgiving difficulty, interesting factions and an-all-around bug free game.
Instead, I got a hammed up, immensely linear Dishonored clone, with eye rolling cheesy dialogue, overly simplified gamepalay,...
Wow... You gave a game a bad score just because it appeals to only the most hardcore of stealth fans?
But why must they remove the Hammerites and Pagans? They could have easily made them fit into this world... But they didn't, that pisses me off.
Please have the old factions! PLEASE!!!! The Hammerites and Pagans are what made the world of Thief feel awesome.
One thing I despise about this game is the utter dismissal of many of the original Thief factions, lore and characters. I longed for a Thief four with the Hammerites and the Pagans battling it out, with Garret being pulled into it without his consent. The original world and atmosphere is gone, in favor of a much more historical depiction of the City... Also, where are the horror elements?
Also, the gameplay was looking good before the escape part... The bit where he is caught...
Why not play the original Thief games? (The Dark Project, The Metal Age and Deadly Shadows) They are easily the greatest stealth games of all time, and boast a much more realistic stealth system.
By the way, just in case you don't know (most don't). Dishonored was inspired by the Thief games, the developers said themselves it was to be a spiritual successor to the original games.

Nuclear Winter just means that the world experiences no sunlight due to climate change bought on my the nuclear weapons, doesn't necessarily mean snow has anything to do with it.

^ Commenwealth City! :D
No, It's not going to be set in Chicago. Gonna be in Boston i,e; The CommenWealth. It's like a massive robot city place thing, where they're lots of scientists.
The Morse code playing in the website translate to;

There is no deep difference, you listed things which were basically "multiplayer" which is not necessary to make a product good. For example, The Order seems to cater perfectly to people who just enjoy playing story focused games, but Gears of War seems to just cater to people who love competitive multiplayer.
