But anyway, I never buy consoles at launch (crappy games, faulty hardware, high prices, hard to find, etc.) I always wait atleast a year after launch and catch up on old games in the mean time. That's the way to do it.

It won't happen.
Microsoft treats them great and supports the Gears of War franchise more than $ony ever could.
It's a great IP and a real showcase and system seller for the Xbox 360.
It's the same thing with Sucker Punch, theoreticly they COULD make games for Microsoft but Sony treats them good and keeps them loyal. It goes both ways.

Wow, Crytek and Epic are really pushing the envelope with their tech demos recently.
Problem is, most other developers engines haven't caught up yet, thus they are in no rush for a new generation of consoles.

But it must be noted that Sony does not own Sucker Punch, therefore they are free to make new IPs for whomever they please. I doubt they would right now since they probably have an Infamous 3 coming after this one, but a new IP very well may happen after the assumed trilogy is complete.
One another note; as fun as Sly is, I'd rather see a new Jak & Daxter from Naughty Dog.
Sweet, new Hitman and Theif games coming soon.
