I'm not sure if you read the article, or if the context wasn't as clear as I wanted, but I like the the Xbox gave me a reason to try new things - one of which was to share the experience of gaming with other people.
I imagine that this may not be new to other people, but it may also be difficult for you to understand where I'm coming from.
Growing up in India, I never really met many gamers. They were rare in school, rarer in college. And in the j...
Heh. I really like this stack of three comments. They made me laugh. Thank you.
The NES was never available in my corner of the world, sadly. We had a whole bunch of locally manufactured consoles that never really lasted for as long as they should have.
Maybe it's the fact that I haven't known a lot of gamers in my life? I know one, like I said, and that's about it. And even he has just the one PC at home, that he uses for his gaming.
For me, gaming was always a solitary activity, primarily about single-player games, not so much by choice, but mostly because of the lack of company.
Heh. I like your comment. It isn't so much the presence of the online friends as much as it is the fact that I'm exploring new things as a gamer.
I'm someone trying out online gaming after a couple of decades of single player RPGs, so it may not be easy for other people (to whom I imagine this is old hat) to get where I'm coming from.
But the fact of the matter is that I'm seeing that gaming reinforces, now, a lot of the same lessons that ...
Heh. I recently played Halo 2 co-op for the first time and I had a blast. Nearly 6 hours straight with a good friend. Most fun I've had in ages.
Meaning no offence, mate, but Lizard Lounge is far from a clickbait site. It's fairly clear that you've never heard of us before seeing this post and, if you can't see the humour in the name, if it doesn't give you an amusing mental picture, then there isn't much I can say to you.
But it's ridiculous to judge the site by the url, especially if you haven't even spent enough time on the site, looking at the content, to form a reasonable opinion of it...
Wow, yeah, that is bad. Haven't played Inquisition myself because it wasn't released in my corner of the world, but a friend was furious with Bioware for what they did with the ending and etc.
And the less said about Arkham Knight the better, I think. My condolences. That really sounds like a terrible preorder experience.
I think that's a big part of the problem. Most people who buy, I think, would probably get the whole thing in advance because it doesn't make sense to play one episode and miss out on the rest of the story.
But it feels like such a huge gamble in this instance because we know so little about Hitman and what the quality of the other episodes will be like. And, for that matter, when the other episodes are supposed to release.
I'm inclined to agree with the switch to episodic format being a development extension. It feels, in this case but not always, like the devs are saying, "This is the only piece that feels polished enough to release, play this."
If you don't mind me asking, which games were you scarred on?
I'm somewhat picky with preorders myself. Only ones I've done in recent memory were The Witcher 3, X-COM 2, Deserts of Kharak. And the Torment early access so I could get my hands on the beta.
Essentially, names I've learned to trust a great deal. Heck, I'd preorder a Bioware game in a heartbeat.
It's part of Destiny's multiplayer. You can play an uber-hard version of a particular level with two other friends for a bigger challenge and better loot.
This might give you a better idea - http://www.destinypedia.com...
I think it's a lot of fun, but I'm also pretty new to Destiny. I've only been playing since after The Taken King came out.
@ninsigma
Oh, I know what you mean. I had the match set up on The100 yesterday. Third guy disappeared, we had someone else drop in. He gave up after we got hammered about five times.
We got another random, who stuck around - after the guy who created the game dropped (in frustration, I think). I finally finished the Nightfall with a completely different fireteam from the one I started with.
Was equal parts frustrating and hilarious. XD
Heh. You must be a lot better at the game than I am, then. Ran a Nightfall yesterday - Bond Brothers, I hate that Strike - and got obliterated a bunch of times. The first one wasn't as tough, by comparison.
I think whether or not you like it will depend on whether you're new to Homeworld.
I haven't played the other games in the franchise so it was my first genuinely new experience with a game and its mechanics in years.
And Deserts of Kharak felt so different from the Starcraft/C&C-type and Total War-type games that I loved it.
That was really well said. Thank you. :)
