That doesn't mean that we can't also get enhanced versions of Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II.
They based it on the disc tray not the controller. Regardless, the new controller is a bit smaller.
It is real-time. Not gameplay but real-time in-engine graphics that are indicative of how the cutscenes in the game will look like. For a game that heavily relies on its story, narrative and character expressions that is quite important. It does, however, more so than anything else give us a glimpse on the level of visual fidelity we can expect from next-gen titles. Just imagine what the industry's more capable studios, including Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Guerilla, Insomniac, Rockstar, C...
Still at it? I have explained it again and again. My issue is that it should not have been the first PS5 game that they showed, not that the game is not good. It is not representative in any way of the best that the new hardware has to offer. And yes I have seen the games, in person, and they are jaw droppingly gorgeous. This one...not so much. The gameplay looks good but what millions of people got to see was that underwhelming trailer at TGS, not this GIF.
"Our combat is kinesthetic in nature, so the new controller’s “adaptive triggers” and haptic feedback will make moment-to-moment combat feel exhilarating and visceral."
Exactly what I said and everyone attacked me.
As I've said, at the PlayStation event in February we'll see what the new hardware is really capable of. Regardless do you actually believe that this is the best that the PS5 can offer? Do you seriously believe that and you question what I've said? The Godfall trailer that was shown looks seriously underwhelming, the gameplay looks ok, great real time reflections though. The new hardware is incredibly capable and talented studios will make great use of it to deliver titles that wi...
Not the most ideal choice. There are plenty of other PS5 titles that look miles better than this. At the PlayStation event in February we'll see what the new hardware is really capable of.
It's a good name and it does give it a classy feel. There will be Series X, Series S, Series X2 and so on. The fact is though while the name could stand great on its own, they are not abandoning the current-gen consoles which could lead to a bit of confusion for the regular consumer.
$500.
Why do you think there will be another name? This is the actual name, Series X for what was known as the Anaconda, Series S for the Lockhart, allowing for further SKUs to be introduced in the future like Series X2, S2 and so on. Maybe even XX, XXX etc if they feel adventurous.
There is no comparison between Rapture and Columbia. Rapture is the definition of Bioshock and with the next-gen hardware and ray tracing it will be absolutely jaw-dropping.
Not premature at all.
Rapture was an incredible setting. With the advancements in hardware it could be realized in ways that could add to its already outstanding atmosphere even more. If they return to the setting it would truly be a dream come true. If they do something completely different, however, I do hope that it can deliver a similarly captivating combination of atmosphere, art influence and musical score/soundtrack as the original games did.
It's only placed below because it was rated and placed on the list after the other games with the same score. The ones that were rated earlier are higher on the list despite having the same score.
It is an incredible game indeed and one of my all time favorites. The list reflects the ratings on Metacritic however, and for whatever reasons, certain games garnered higher aggregated scores at the time they were put on Metacritic. The list also positions earlier rated games higher than other games that have the same score. It's not which one they consider better, it's which one was rated first.
Bioshock was incredible. Without question one of the best games of the decade.
Most of these games have been delayed. Some do not have a 2020 release date, or any announced date for that matter and they will definitely not be launching any time soon. Ubisoft titles, including Watch Dogs, Gods & Monsters and the soon to be announced Assassin's Creed Ragnarok, are cross-gen. They will release on the PS5 and Scarlett as well.
Those advancements will be made as the Zen 2 CPU upgrade in the new consoles will allow for huge improvements in AI and physics. It will take some time, however, as development will have to shift to being next-gen exclusive which will take a while. For now many games will be cross-gen receiving mostly resolution/visual enhancements and higher framerates.
@Welshy No it is in real-time. You see the little nuances and flaws. Yes, it is still a target render at this point and most likely running on PC, but still it is indicative of what we can expect from the game. As I've explained, however, what is most exciting is the advancements that the next-gen will bring on both next-gen consoles and PC. I have no doubt you will keep it denying it. That does not however make it any less true.
