I had Crysis 1 and it's expansion pack for PC and loved it. I wish they would have pushed the first game out on the consoles 1st though, it maybe would of helped Crysis 2 sales. It's hard to buy a 2nd game in a franchise when most people who didn't have it on the PC had never played the 1st game. Just saying.
There are a few reasons that sales are down. My first thought is maybe Sony is still pissed that Insomniac next project isn't going to be a PS3 exclusive. Alot of PS3 owners were pissed about this so maybe Sony felt the same way and not promoting the game like they should was a FU. Also, R3 is not a true sequel, considering nathan hale isn't in the game, so that may have turned people off considering the first two games were based around him. Max Payne has always been one of my favorite game franchises, and with Rockstar at the helm, I think the 3rd installment will be the best one yet. There's nothing like bullet time...Nothing. Bring the Payne!

Hopefully PS3's users are smart enough to boycott first strike after the P.O.S port they gave us. They won't get another dollar from me until the connection problem is fixed, and I don't see that happening. PS3 users should let them know our frustration by not buying the map pack.

I know this was from a while ago but I started thinking about it tonight when I was on steam about how it could help the ps3 once it comes. I think it'll make a bigger impact than what some of you think. I think exclusives will sell more too, without a doubt, but agree with PJP11, I think it'll help 3rd party devs.
I loved the first soldier of fortune. It was awesome. Crysis 1 and the expansion pack rocked. I just wish they'd come out with a new Doom and Quake that was worth playing. I'm looking foward to Rage though. DId any of you ever play "Blood" or Shadow Warrior?
CdLand, I agree with you, I have a the first Xps computer by dell and it still runs alot of the games that come out today. That being said though, there are two Game Stops where I live who don't even sell computer Games anymore, due to everyone wanting consoles these days. I miss alot of the old computer games, not only FPS but other genres too, that I played on computer. As much as I hate to admit it, consoles have taken over.
Two things: first, I've already read on this site somewhere that the PS3 move has been in limited supply to retailers, so that can make one case for slow sales, and secondly...the holiday season is approaching soon and I imagine PS3 Move will fly off the shelves then, especially if they make a holiday special for it. It hasn't even been a month yet.

I wonder if cross game chat with be a big seller to get people to buy PS Plus. It'd be a smart move because almost everyone on the ps3 has wanted this feature, so what better way to make an easy 50 dollars off of almost every user. Sony would make big profit off of it. I use to buy madden and ncaa every year like everyone else, but like the ninjalicious, I too think it's rediculous to pay the same amount of money for these games every year when nothing is really added. Yeah, players are added, but I can create the same players myself and just guess at their ratings. I actually did that for Madden 2010. Wolfenstein made me really want my parents to by me a computer when I first saw it at my friend's dad house when I was like 13. Doom came along and blew everyone's mind.
