Maybe I'll try out Saints Row 2, then. RF:G rocked. Best game of the year so far IMO
It doesn't look to be too similar. As far as sequels of amazing games go, it's pretty subpar when it comes down to how it improves on the first, but the gameplay seems a lot more dynamic, so maybe that'll be the key factor. The leaked trailer also makes the story look at least somewhat interesting
So far this was the funnest episode to record.
It probably seems like I have a little bit of hate the spread to every console lol
dude I actually thought they put that Easter Egg in the game XD
Uncharted 2 is undoubtedly going to earn Game of the Year in SOME places. I wonder if Famitsu does those awards... anyway, it's probably gonna sell more there than in the US because the PS3 is doing better than the 360 in Japan.
couldn't imagine Snake without a voice. Voices are important, without them characters are boring.
I've always enjoyed both Splinter Cell and MGS, but I can't deny that I'm an MGS fan above all. That said, i thought MGS4 sucked, so maybe Conviction will make SC my new favorite stealth game
I really want this game, but I can't afford the 120 pricepoint. Way too much for a new IP in rhythm games
But hey, the demo's available for download if you're there. Maybe Alex can download it to his PSP if he has one and bring it back and write a more in-depth look at what makes it tick.
Not sure I agree with the entire list, but a fun read nonetheless!
Well they don't really HAVE to do anything lol. They're rolling in more cash than anyone else, and they're doing it no thanks to their "hardcore fans" who couldn't muster the courage to buy a damn Gamecube. I applaud Nintendo. Had the Wii bombed, they might've dropped out like Sega and become developers, and we'd see Mario and Master Chief crossovers... yeesh.
haha well if that were the case Halo 3 could've had a better chance of making it into the top ten, but I decided not to go into the whole modding and all that nonsense. It's not as accessable to players who aren't hackers lol
That's where it falls short. Hopefully other games will learn from the mistake of having such an overwhelming array of capabilities just be laid down in front of you with no hint as to where to go.
Embargos, like I've said to many others, are not binding at all unless you SIGN a contract or commit to a VERBAL agreement. Even then, there is absolutely no legal action anyone can take against a website that breaks embargo except to try and sue for pirating a game, which they absolutely could not do because the copy was perfectly legit.
At the same time, it was rather unwittingly naive of G3 to go ahead and put up the review. People forget that writers have these things calle...
It was a move to assert dominance. Growing sites like G3 can't very well fight back, so they flexed their muscles and we're recovering despite it all. I'm sure they won't block us out completely, that'd just be ridiculous.
Being an editor at G3, I hope you guys don't find my opinion as biased an unimportant, but in all honesty I can't understand why Microsoft would be so harsh except to set an example. They know themselves that an embargo is not legally binding unless a contract is verbally made or formally signed. Yet they claimed an embargo was up and reacted as if furious. From the start they knew that their final words would be to punish Matt and G3 somehow, and this is what resulted.
It's ce...
Yeah that's insane. It's a whole different world in the east.
Wow, absolutely a joy to read from beginning to end. I completely agree, L4D never struck me BECAUSE it had zombies. Meanwhile everyone else was so obsessed because it had zombies.
Really enjoyed writing this little piece. Lineage was a cool video, but I'm waiting on the films to start pouring in.
