It's not converting it's just unpacking it takes a few seconds to unpack each movie just that it can only do it one file at a time. Theres a batch mode I think but you need OS X or know how to use .Net framework which I don't know how.
I'm assuming you got them from either DB or Lunar which should work right off the bat but DB has a problem. Apparently the muxer they use isn't PS3 friendly so you'll have to re-encode ALL of them and yes it is a pain in the ass but it works and it's worth it. You'll have to download something that can convert I use Magic Video Studio to do mine. Then you'll have to encode them all using Xvid and choose the one with .mp3 96kb or else your files will be twice as big as they normally are. Even ...

alright guys Giz made a mistake their writers are human and apparently the guy who wrote it put it up late at night so let's give them them a break. There could be a few Xvids that don't work I mean most of my Divx don't work so its not surprising. Most Xvid does work though well at least for me all my Bleach is now Xvid and it works beautifully! Watching them on my TV is awesome no artifacts at all! it's like I'm watching a TV broadcast.

What are they talking about Xvid does work every single one of my FMA files are Xvid and they all work. It's the Divx ones thats giving me pain and heartache. I'm encoding all my Bleach and BLOOD+ to Xvid now as we speak to make them work. There are some that are Divx and works but most of them don't unless they're Xvid.
Should work, it doesn't stream like the 360 does. If you have a hard drive it'll read off of that so off a disc should work too but it seems some codecs aren't working yet even the divx/xvid ones. Most should work but theres alot of people reporting that some dont work.
Some of my Bleach won't play neither it doesn't show unsupported data or corrupted file or anything it just has a black screen and yes it is Divx encoded I checked. Either they still need to work on the patch or I'm doing something wrong. Oh and dude, you always could play Xvid/Dvix/WMV through TVersity even before the patch.
Another thing is you can't scale the video from original to normal or zoom! Or I'm just not doing something right..
