I missed this one until now, and after looking up a bunch of info on it, I'm looking forward to it coming out!
I care about this as much as I did 3DTV. Niche product. Not interested.
Neither title ranks close as my game of the year. I'd have to say PS5 GOTY went to Stray for me. I waited years for it and it didn't disappoint. The experience was what made it so memorable for me. Just proves you don't need a massive budget and huge teams to make a game that sets itself apart for someone. Best big budget game probably goes to Horizon. It's standard 3rd person open world fare, but an impressive graphical showcase.
Not quite sold on it. It's got that early 2000's Adobe Flash animation vibe to it. I never really dug that look.
That price, though.... If they'd have been good enough to leave it at the (already jacked) PS5 price point, then it might be worth considering, but they went and put the pre-order price at ten bucks higher. So that's like $20 more than a AAA PS4 game. Nope. They shot themselves in the foot on that one for me. If it's got good reviews and I like what I see them I'll buy it after it's 50% of on sale. Whatever. They can blame whatever they want, but the truth is all it ever was, was a mediocre game that didn't do anything outstanding. Two years in, it lives up to the hype for me and I'm as happy with it as I was on release day when I got it. The only annoyance would be earlier this year Sony released a firmware update that slowed down the boot time dramatically. At first, I was intrigued by this title when the first video came out thinking it was an early build/tech demo for what they were trying to accomplish and that the world would be fleshed out, but it quickly became clear that the video was close to the end product and this was a lower budget title, like Soul Hackers 2. How quickly you all forget how horribly Capcom has handled it's games, DLC & microtransaction practices in the last few years... I've been burned twice by them on the last two games I've bought, and learned my lesson. It's your money, and your choice, but this game dev has been one of the nasty ones lately.

I got burned on sfv. This is gonna be a hard pass. Doesn't mean I'm not curious about the game or won't watch good players play it, but unless it's under 20 bucks with all characters included, I'mma pass. Remember, Capcom loves it's shady dlc practices
