As a concept, I dislike remasters as well...that is until I see a game that I really care about :D
That's kind of the point of the post...
Did anyone actually read this?
Did you read it?
Did you read the post? It talks about problems on both sides of the fence and actually ends up on the side of a subscription model. There are undoubtedly problems and risks with either model of monetization.
While I'm sure the game would be great, we haven't seen a bad game from Naughty Dog in years, I don't believe it could ever live up to the original and may actually lessen the impact of both titles.
According to the poll at the bottom of the post, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is currently in the lead with about 30% of the votes.
Haha I did, it just didn't feel so personal.
Hey I get it, not everyone loves the same stuff. I'm not telling you how you should feel, just how I felt.
Because I really liked AC4 and would love to platinum it? This is the game I was talking about the whole time and this is one of the problems I had with it. The key in that sentence is "mind-numbing busy-work". It's not the only game with that problem but it's the most recent one I played. My point is I'm willing to work for my achievements or trophies but it should be challenging and fun, not a time-sink.
Yes the game has always had collectibles and all Assassin's Creed titles have grown stale before I try and find them all. I chose to write about this title in particular because I believe it does so many things so well, in many ways I think it is far superior to its predecessors, but this element is one of the few things holding it back from being a near-perfect game. This is also (obviously) the most recent one so I figured it's fresh in our minds.
I highly recommend it!
