Seems like a good game, I haven't been all the way trough yet. But I kind of lost interest along the way, the extremely cheap jump scares got old pretty damn fast. On the technical side of things, this game is a looker for sure! Need to jumb back in when I get home after the christmas holiday.
Still, I can't quite shake the feeling of being a bit disappointed so far.
I still try to forget this game exists. Complete digrace to the franchise imho.''
Let's see how long until the first Edge controller with drift issues surface. I bet it won't take too long since they are still using the same shit stick design as the Dual Sense and every other modern controller. If Sony at least could include some Hal effect type of joysticks in the Edge, it would at least make it a lot more durable alone! These controllers are for people putting in a ton of hours, and the will wear down.
ThIs game is a true gem of the 90's! Very fond memories of playing Dark Forces over at a friends house, on a reasonsble good PC at the time as well! So good! Beat the PlayStation version a few years back as well, which was a interesting port! Will definitely look into this project at some point in time!
N4G is pretty much a infinite Sony circlejerk session, but I suspect you already knew this ^^
The HDR was terrible (as mentioned) , and the open-world was kind of bland and not intereseting. I loved the different particle effects during combat though, that looked really cool! But I did not like the actual combat and the demo did nothing to make me want to explore this world at wall. It's a hard pass for me.
The demo was enough to confirm the gut feeling I had from the get-go, I won't be buying this. It's nice of them to fix the HDR stuff, looked pretty terrible in the demo.
Hard pass.
Oh I got you alright, but you better find some other youtuber to watch. Since not mentioning the battery lifetime on such an expensive peripherial points to a very little in-depth hands on experience and I would not be surprised if they even got it for free from Sony as well (not saying they did, but it happens)
Why would you need a youtubers opinon though, you already have multiple sources saying it's got a worse battery life.
Sony will definitely sell them, oh yes they will lol.
Yeah, this is a clear no-go for me. And no hall effect sticks at that msrp is ridiculous. And the battery life looks to be a joke as well.
Yeah my gut feeling from the start regarding this game told me it was a "Won't buy" for sure. I'm glad they provided us a demo So I could confirm it's a no-go.
Yeah, great price! Haven't had the time to play it though..working all weekend lol
Got my physical copy on PS5 for about $44, and it’s the best version as of now! I can live with that lol.
I recommend getting it on anything BUT the Switch if possible. The Switch version is a very cut-down port as usual.
After watching Digital Foundry's video on this..I still can't believe how this is possible. Looks absolutely terrible, Arceus looks great in comparison. And that't not a good looking game lol.
Highly recommend the long read!
That said I did not like the direction they went for with Doom Eternal at all. Biggest disappointment in 2020 imho. I much prefer the “safe and simple” style of Doom 2016.
It's a real treat on PC, might be one of the best looking games I've played! So beautiful! It eats hardware for breakfast though lol!
If they could remake this into an actual good Resident Evil game, sure! I despise the original so much.
