jade empire 2?
thats another move called the superman, which is something different altogether
i love jim sterling, there i said it
...but its such a large game and engrossing game its hard to get bothered by them. Personally I haven't experienced anything game breaking, after 24 hours played time I've probably experienced 10 strange bugs at the most. that really isn't too bad for such a huge game.
For me its most definitely going to be my GOTY.
I work at GAME, any time I see something like this, rather than getting excited, I just sigh at the fact there will be yet another item I will be pushed into adding onto a sale
its a fun game. end of discussion.
...but do many people actually play this online still? is there a large community?
yes this is what a beta is for, finding these bugs and problems. no, nobody paid for this beta and its more of a gift for customers. but this beta is everyones first impression of the game, the average player will not take into account the fact its a beta and the first impression of the game freezing will forever leave a lasting impression on the game for people, putting them off. so it really is quite a big fail from DICE's perspective.
how can you say the game mechanics are exactly the same? each game out there has different game mechanics and a different feel. i thoroughly enjoyed bad company 2 when i played it (i lost interest in playing it when my friends did) and i still thoroughly enjoy mw2, sure the game has its fair share of problems, but the game mechanics and overall feel of the game is the games strong point. you cant honestly tell me that every first person shooter feels and plays the same. i just dont personally...
The thing about a beta these days is, the betas that are released are closer to the finished product that most people think. Sure there is time for them to change the game before the release, but the underlying game mechanics, feel and ideals will still be the same. I have played many beta tests and I can tell you changes are never so dramatic that people who did not like the beta will like the final game.
Betas are more for marketing than for making changes these days, they probably ...
The thing that annoys me the most is the 1-2 second freeze you have when you die to actually get the death animation. That and the constant freezing. I know these are issues that won't be in the final game. But these issues complimenting the disappointing feel to the gameplay tarnish the excitement I had for the game. I have gone from incredibly interested to not interested in the slightest.
Wow, I actually forgot this game existed, I remember when I first heard about it I was incredibly excited, five years later and it's still not here...
why is it when i click the pre-load button nothing happens?
this game looks amazing, the graphics are incredible, the gameplay looks solid (its halo after all) and all the changes they are making to the formula sound good to me. I think we have a possible GOTY 2010 candidate with Halo Reach
:(
im assuming all the dlc will come on a second disc where you can pick and choose which ones you want to install at each time.
well done to Microsoft, there really is no exclusive for the hd consoles that sells as well as halo. i must say im surprised that it has sold more than modern warfare in terms of xbox 360 sales.
i would have bought sigma 2 if it had the blood, i know its only costmetic but i really loved slicing a guy to pieces and watching blood spurt everywhere when playing ninja gaiden 2, it just wont feel the same without it.
imagine how sick mass effect would be with natal. imagine the voice recognition working in tandem with the speech system. scarily enough this will indeed one day happen.
I agree with this article, the spawn system is so terrible, I cant believe Treyarch shipped the game with a map this bad. It annoys me more that everyone seems to vote for the damn thing over and over!!
