no matter how bad someone thinks of the PS3, when I look at their roster of hyped games like Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet.
Even if I hate the PS3, I have to think that atleast one of those games is gonna do well.

They had reached 5 million long before the holiday season even started.
360 down 18% in shipments from 8.9 million in 2006 to 7.3, that's 16.2 total. Microsoft has already said they shipped 17.7.
And then they also say it's 360 who's doing bad. if PS3 in total worldwide is 5-6 million shipped, they're doing horrible.

And now has too big a peice of the puzzle on it's side. HD DVD can't win anymore so it would be stupid for Paramount and Universal to keep supporting it. They won't make money like that.
So now it's time to move foward and be able to enjoy all the movies

I don't think blu ray is that big of a factor.
I think it's software and price that will be the biggest factors.
They made a huge mistake when they priced the PS3 $200 above the competition. It was complete lack of vision.
That's why I get so impatient with Sony. PS3 doesn't have much time, they have some very exciting software this year. They better be agressive and continue hacking away at that price debacle.

Is there people who are really just pure HD DVD fanboys? I mean it's just a damn disc format.
if someone makes that, I would sign it.
There's no point in keeping two formats, more people loose out that way.
I'm glad to see this happen, it needs to happen more because I'm sick of the fanboyism even among magazine editors.
If they suspect you're not being fair, they should cut you off. If you believe that magazine editors aren't real people and are fanboys also, you're wrong.
PS3 has price issues to catch up on still. It needs to cost the same as XBOX 360.
And if 360 lowers it's price, PS3 still needs to match it.
And if they don't, then they are pretty much f*cked.
