This goes back to the old theory that gameplay will always triumph graphics/looks. A game can look pretty, but if the gameplay is stale and sucks then you'll soon look past the looks.
It's kind of like a girl. She may be pretty, but if there is no substance she will get old after the first night.
I think so too. I doubt the 360 is outselling the PS3 in Japan. But then again, I'm pretty sure everyone in Japan owns a PS3 at this point

I feel like DLC is just another way for them to get money out of us though. The content is already there at launch, they probably just intentionally leave it out of the game and add it in later so we pay for it again.
I'd rather read a well thought out, in-depth review of a game than see a score. A score is just a number that people will use to determine if they should take a look at the game (and often ignore the review)
Throw in advertising dollars that these publishers pay for on these "review" websites and many will bump up the score of the game. That's why I stay away from things like IGN and Gamespot. Big corporations being paid for by other big corporations.
People are going to pay for it anyways. A discount is actually a good idea.
