I am pretty sure, low-end PS5 is called PS4. Same games, same software, same network, same peripherals, lower performance. If you want SSD, go and upgrade your PS4.

Except it's not a demo. It's basically stress test for servers and bugs, so players are doing testers for free.

I received review copy 2 weeks before release and Sony did additional steps to avoid leaks. For example, with game, special additional software was installed on PS4 to check, if you have review copy provided by Sony or any other leaked copy. This website is probably not going to receive any future Sony games for review, if they did now.
Yeah, first time experience is awesome and totally worth it. I had it too, years ago. I was on GamesCom 5 times in a row and as years goes, it´s just business trip for me as for media rep. I was annoyed by people, annoyed by masses, basically wanted to get everything done on my schedule, meet old friends and devs I know and get out of there.
Sad for all five developers. Howewer thit is why marketing is super-important. Lake Ridden is just not a game you can do great marketing for.

£50 for base game is on Steam as well for every new AAA release (59,99€ / $59,99)
The cut of 30% is basically advertising, where Steam will show off your game to 70 million users. The question is, if AAA company sell 1 million units on Steam at launch for $60 and Steam gets 20 million of it, wouldn't be better to pay $20 million on Social Networks advertising instead of Steam?
That is quite old thinking as most of new services are faster, easier to use, have less resources consumption and are not plagued by updates as Steam. Basically all you do is double click on game icon and play, no need to run launcher separately as you may think.
