The main excuse here seems to be people are unhappy about how the game is still buggy, yet EA are asking for more money.
What I find fascinating is; people are willing to spend €50/£40 on nothing (apart from Close Quarters) but promises. Nobody has played the other three expansions, nobody really knows anything about them. They could be terrible, but you are paying in the HOPE that DICE will deliver amazing Expansions. When, in fact, once everyone buys the Premium now, ...
Only two of the seven games are actually new intellectual properties. The rest are sequels, remakes or reboots. A great time we live in...
Would also like to add the point that the PC demo does NOT have all GFX options available. It clearly states that DX11 features have been disabled for the demo.
Fail article is full of fail.
I wonder how well Dungeon Siege III is coming along...
Wow...it looks extremely similar to another almost unrelated FPS with a likewise name, and it only costs another $60?! Im sold.
What a load of boring nonsense. This 'employee' would have received more attention if he said "Half-Life 3 - Coming June 2011". Why not tell us something interesting instead of domestic disputes across desks?
To be precise, it says: "No, probably not". The fact that the preceding sentence says "give a clear answer", followed by the word "probably" in the following sentence, baffles me, but still - there is definitive 'No' from the author in answering the question.
Medal of Honour averages at 75, but apparently Call of Duty: Black Ops (a game yet to be released) will do better, in a critical sense.
Some articles are trying to imitate astrologists. Lets not forget, Zombie Mode was the only good thing to come out of WaW and Black Ops is the 7th iteration of the CoD franchise. FIFA/PES/Tiger Woods/NHL/MADDEN should feel nervous about COD 2011 coming next year...
Fair enough MOH doesn't cut out a niche for itself, ...
Interesting that already people are sub-dividing realism into different categories. Looking forward to seeing other responses!
This is exactly what I am trying to get at. When do games become more like movies with amount of cut-scenes within the story?
Is there a fine line between a decent amount of cut-scenes and game play?
Or does it matter? And developers can throw in as many as they want, instead of allowing you to PLAY those scenes?
I am not a fan of Kinect, but I can see this being quite popular with little girls. The same age-group which obsessed over Nintendogs for the DS. Nintendogs was detrimental in DS success, this might be the same if marketed correctly.
Christmas time can't come quick enough! :P
Interesting article, and fanboy war aside - this is clearly somewhat a parody (see the opening description). Both sides have advantages and disadvantages. Some of you really need to calm down...
The Playstation Ice-Cream... I like it. :)
You won't see this 'next-gen'. Even a PS4 could not render this in real-time in a fully developed game like Skyrim.
