theres really no need at all for blu-ray drives on pc just yet average data files arnt even that big to begin with.
that is unless ur into pirating movies and stuff.
demon's souls + motion control = no thanks its better on a controller
BUT
make a game that will fully use the motion tech with a demon's souls type setting and style that can track all sword swings, dual wield, different stances, shield blocks, etc (like the tech demo but more robust) is full of win.
id go out and buy 2 controllers and the game day 1.
even if its real the slim wont help MS at all.
the only reason y people were waiting for the ps3 slim is because it comes with a price cut and the ps3 is huge.
the 360 is already reasonably smaller and its at a 199 price point.
what ever happend to the games.

2-3 mil a ff is pretty good considering the ps2 was the most pirated console ever. id imagine another 1mil(understatment) copies would have been sold if piracy wasn't there.
if i were the head of SE id would be pumping out smaller 20-30 hour of lesser graphical quailty, games with amazing story and gameplay. less flash more quality. a great story trumps amazing graphics any day. just look at the early ps2 games, suikoden 3 is hand down one of the best stories ive played but...
50 hours? but are those 50hours interesting? id rather hear about the story then how many hours it takes.

the only reason y i got the other FF's was because they did something different. more recently ffx-2 with the job system, ff11 with online play and ff12 with the new battle system
ff13 just seems like they copied ff7 and added next gen graphics and added a new face to the core gameplay (battle system, magic, summons etc.)
unless the story is top notch or theres something new to get excited about then i wont be intereste...
last time i checked they allowed 5 per house hold guess they dropped it to 3 then to 1.

on a happy note, just went to the mall this morning with a few friends of mine who also picked up ps3's. turns out they where also waiting for the price drop to buy one. all wii owners.

i can only see DD being used as a rental type service. using it for real transactions doesn't make sense to me since u can press 1 button and delete what u just paid for.
thats still 5x bigger then a normal dvd movie.
20 of those movies and my harddrive is full.
unless im dling them for free then i don't care about DD.
once i pay for it i start to care.
if its free or like pvp 4 movies, or if they come out with gameflix that lets u dl as many games as u want a month and play them for a low price then im all for it.
if im paying full price for game which i get to keep forever then screw u DD can shove it. theres no way in hell id be willing to drop 59.99 to dl a halo or dissida or even a ff game off a electronic store. give me my disc and case please.
