Has there been any mention on the release date for Ni No Kuni 2. It looks pretty far along.
Ya, Sony's last two conferences were better than their competitors. By the way I lost my mind over Ni No Kuni 2.
Sony only sets the prices of their first party titles. Twisted Metal black is 10$. Sony can't just throw an emulator on their system to play old games. Emulators are illegal hence why MS explicitly stated all it takes is Publisher permission to add 360 games to their BC.. Publishers are setting prices of the games at 15$.
99$ is what it should have been from the start and to me that's a fantastic deal for someone who has been out of gaming for some years due to life and what not, doesn't have a PS3 and wants to catch up without digging through reviews and Gamestops isles for games they don't know they will actually end up liking. Sony was testing the market for its entry point though. I'm sure this is going to be where it stays.
@Demon - I think so, it's also geared towards people who don't have a console at all. I got curious and played Killzone 3 straight from my TV that has PS Now on it and it works really well. For a hundred bucks a year you get more games than you can possibly play. Not enticing to someone who has all their physical PS3 games but to someone who has been out of gameing for the last couple years and wants to catch up this is great.
Literally every game released this year besides Fallout 4 (only because the dev said graphics weren't the focus) looks and runs better on PS4. Add this one too the list.
Ya they are trying to just recoup losses now. This is the last time X1 will ever see a deal like this with any publisher, there are flat out not enough people on the platform to go exclusive on. Square gave up releasing on a platform of 30+ million people, what an absolute disaster. As soon as this announcement was made I knew this wasn't going to end well for anybody.
Where's the douche that wrote the whole article (and somehow got it approved) on how bad the PS4 version was, then went on to say he "heard from a friend" that the X1 was a lot better. Lol. It wouldn't have been as bad coming from someone posting that in a comment section but a whole article from a supposed web site.....
So Software lover I take it someone says something bad about something you have connection to and you just stay silent. Is that how things are supposed to work?
A lot of people complaining are Xbots who don't even own PS4's.
I hate to say it but it's hard for me to play a game that doesn't have trophies, and this is coming from a guy who got an Atari 2600 for his 4th birthday (Dad bought it for himself and passed it off as a gift to me :) so I've played hundreds without them, but after being exposed to the satisfaction of the trophy ding and having some evidence of my accomplishments I can't bring myself to play play games without them. So that and upscaling are pretty good motivation to grab thes...
The fact you can get trophies for really old games, play these in remote play and up rezed is pretty cool. Ya it would be nice to pop the ones you owned into the PS4 but Sony put forth a lot of money to emulate and add trophie support to games that never had any. And to those complaining, step 1: don't buy them, Step 2: Plug in PS2, Step 3: insert disc.
Wow looks really good. Sony went the extra mile and cleaned the games up and added trophies. I'm probably not going to buy any of them because you know, nobody's forcing me too, and if I want to play a PS2 game I plug in my, wait for it, PS2! But apparently there are a lot of people around here that think that notion is absurd.
The beautiful thing is they aren't forcing you too. So why are you complaining?
@ Crimzon above, what has been MS's excuse. Their offerings are pathetic. They tried to spoon feed you a pool game two months in a row. And then offered up ACreed when you got it for free with your X1. Go try to scrounge up something to play on your X1. Good luck.
Apparently not :)
They aren't the sales leader anywhere.
Took me an hour and a half.
I think it's reasonable. I put PS4 at 35million by Dec 25th though. I'm sure we will hear something from Sony this weekend. Either way the gap has definitely gotten bigger.
Ya I wasn't a fan of Shawn Layden before, he doesn't have charisma and never seems comfortable when he presents almost like he would rather be at a board meeting. And the shirt just shows me how disconnected he is with gamers. You don't walk out on stage wearing a Crash shirt in the games biz and then not announce Crash. Surprised no one told him it wasn't a good idea. Unless, he is pulling a Hideo Kojima and Crash is in the pipe line.
