Out of curiosity, do you think that the Xbox One would have done better at launch if it didn't come with kinect, and was more powerful than ps4? I know I never would have jumped ship, and my friends probably wouldn't have either. But I do agree with a lot of the comments here, that games are going to be backward compatible moving forward, and we will all be invested in either ecosystem already from this gen.
I don't know, but I highly doubt that Microsoft is just going to hand it to them again like the current gen. I think it will be more competitive this time around.

It will eventually just be another mode once the newness wears off, like team deathmatch or search and destroy. Basing a game around just one mode just seems silly to me.
