Look at the times we're living in now. Economy is screwed with no quick end in sight. EA has just posted a $1 Billion loss of earnings recently and Microsoft and Sony both have had pretty hefty profit losses hence them laying off staff. Do you REALLY think they want to be in a rush to spend millions and millions of dollars on the R&D of a new console when they're both only recently started to see profits from their current consoles?

You underestimate how many Ghostbuster fans there are from back in the day! I think Sony realises this. I also think the Blu-ray version of the film will sell very well. Go see the previews of Ghostbusters and you'll see how many fans are on the IGN team alone. We've been waiting for this for a loooong time as it's actually a spiritual successor to the last film they did with the exact same cast! Brilliant!

One of the reasons they took it out was that a lot of people were being complete pricks. Shouting crap, making people listen to crap music if you walked into their vicinity, racism...the amount of complaints on the official sony board got crazy real quick. If they ever put it back in they'd have to limit it to groups of people who knew each other.

Japanese developers: stick to what you do best! Make brilliant jrpg's and quirky strategy games. Forget the bloody "western approach" and just make good games, and "they will come" lol (okay, it took a little while for people to recognise the greatness of Valkryia Chronicles but it's getting there)

No one should make a survival horror game multiplayer, it just kills all sense of atmosphere. It's the main reason I didn't pick up Res 5 and I'm really worried about Bioshock 2. Dead Space was brilliant because of the tension which the spooky surround sound contributed to but if they make Dead Space 2's single player campaign based on a second player (ala Res 5) I won't be picking it up. For the last time: NOT EVERY BLOODY GAME NEEDS MULTIPLAYER!
