.. I think you will find that most "didn't" miss the part where it allows you to play faster or slower and press the button to the rhythm.

In actual fact, I think you will find that most just found the ability to do all of that to be mind numbingly boring, and quite simply not that much fun. However if that is what floats your boat then at least Nintendo have found their audience.

Enjoy.

The development teams Miyamoto has worked with have created some stunning titles. I think Miyamoto (although no doubt creative) is more of a front man and is often unfairly credited for the hard work of others.

However, back to Wii Music which does looks truly dire. Its a shame seeing Nintendo produce this kind of nonsense considering some of the truly innovative titles they have created in the past. 'Wii Muzak' may be a more appropriate title.

... he also goes on to praise Blizzard and also goes on to say that "Blizzard is the top of the class when it comes to game development - nobody does it better."

A very misleading title serving to provoke a reaction by the people that read the attention grabbing headlines only.

.. I decided to pick this up today and I'm so glad that I did. The production values are through the roof, its incredibly polished, cinematic and the game just sucks you in.

The attention to detail is second to none also. Besides all of the obvious that most have seen in screenshots, things such as particles floating in the air, flies buzzing around lights, dust falling on the camera, tiny little details that you can easily miss, have still been added. It feels like everything...

This spam got approved ?

If you have the IQ equivalent of a lettuce and wake up each morning thinking that you are an onion, then by all means rush out now and sell your PS3 in order to get whatever DLC may become available for the 360.

Just when I thought threads couldn't get any more ridiculous and pointless we now have a new bottom rung to measure all other nonsense by.

Bravo !

Some of the above arguments would hold water if every developer out there was of the same calibre. Also, I doubt anyone here is privvy to the development cycle of the above games mentioned, and therefore wouldn't know if there are unforseen reasons / explanations as to why a products quality may suffer come its release.

Look at certain games on the 360 and PS3, you will find that some developers can get more out of the consoles than another. Titles that under-perform technicall...

.. I was thinking of getting one of their XPS M1730 laptops as compared to the Alienware equivalent is considerably cheaper and everyone who owns a high performance Dell laptop only has great things to say about it. I guess you pay a little premium to have the Alienware branding on there.

I currently have a Rock lappy, but unfortunately they've gone into administration, a real shame as its a stunning piece of kit and very reliable.

... you complete and utter ignorant, if it wasn't for the UK you wouldn't even be playing GTA IV as developers Rockstar North are based just outside Edinburgh in Scotland. For the ignorant (now pay attention IceVenti) Scotland is a part of the UK.

Next time, try to apply a little thought before you go banging those knuckle dragging fists of ham on to your computer. That way, it is possible (though doubtful) that something remotely coherent may spew forth.

Those who bought it on the PS3, are you enjoying it ?

Those who bought it on the 360, are you enjoying it ?

I'm guessing that the majority of people here will answer yes to the above, so regardless of the incredibly tiny differences between the two versions (differences that were done for reasons unbeknown to anyone here), just be happy with knowing that you're having a boat load of fun.

Both versions look and play great, please, just leave it there.

.. I own both a 360 and PS3 and want to get it on whatever console it runs better on (preferably the PS3 for various reasons), but unless you have played it or seen the two versions side by side to make an informed and judged comparison how on earth do you know which version runs better ?

"My mate says its better on 360/PS3" - sorry, not good enough.
"I've read that its better on 360/PS3" - sorry, see above

... I own a PS3 and 360, and personally would like to buy the PS3 version for reasons such as I have a very old 360 and well RRoD is a concern, plus the PS3 is a damn sight quieter. With regards to the DLC, by the time it is released (October I believe) I would have completed GTA4 and moved on to something else, so for me DLC isn't that big an attraction. For the record, I really like both consoles.

However, until the media embargo lifts on Sunday and I can see the PS3 version ...

Actually they have both the graphics and physics down, they just need to add various features, for example online lobbies, a better single player structure and damage, but these will be rectified for the final release. Actually online lobbies are arriving soon for Prologue.

Loved Forza 2, great package, but after playing Prologue I just can't go back to Forza, the Forza handling model feels like an arcade game in comparison.

Driving online (once you get away from th...

After seeing some stunning stills of GRID, this gameplay footage is a bit of a let down. The graphics and textures look a little muddy, the pallette isn't that pleasent and to be honest, the prior screenshots were quite misleading.

I'm currently playing GT5 Prologue (which as we all know for those that have played it is stunning), but I was really looking forward to this also. Hopefully Codemasters can get their act together and polish this before release.

The full GT5 will not come to the EU or US till 2009, most probably March / April 2009. They are hoping to have the Japanese version out for christmas 2008 but have stated it will be released when they are happy with it.

It seems like there is a huge bug in these videos and it seems to be only on the right hand drive cars. If you look at the side mirror, it doesn't relate correctly to what is actually there.

It is as if the image there is still displaying what you would expect to see out of your left hand mirror.

I certainly hope this is an old version, if not, I hope there is a patch fix in the works !

Although I'm currently enjoying GT5: Prologue and Singstar, I grabbed this and booted it up and forgot just how wonderful this title is. Definately one of the most immersive and engaging titles I've played in a long time.

Keep the content coming :)

I'm guessing you mean British people ?

I don't think it has anything to do with people in the UK preferring non-violent games, just simply a magazine based in the UK being a little too self important sometimes.

Anyway, I don't think the UK is quite as de-sensitized to potential firearm violence as some other countries, which personally I think is a bonus.

The problem I have found with 'Edge' is that they can often come across as being 'Up their own arse'.

I find that some of their reviewers are spot on and give fair and honest comments, but others are very condescending and come across like elitist idiots with a distinct air of self importance. Its a shame that the magazine has this reputation as when the magazine was first published, it was highly respected within the gaming industry.
