So both consoles agree AMD is their chip maker. This just might save AMD from going bankrupt. The article should have said, " feeling little competitive pressure from Nintendo. "
For MS not to be concern about what Sony is doing or paying attention to what the PS4 might be capable of is just plain crazy! Sony knows the gaming console business all to well, MS is going to have one heck of a fight on their hands. I'm hoping that rumor of "always on internet, ...
Ok, any of the games in the bargin bin or heavy discounted yet? Seems like a crime to be paying full price for these ports.
Without a doubt, it's all but over for Nintendo being taken serious next gen.
I went to my local Walmart and saw a small child playing the Wii U and overheard the mother saying how cute the game look.
But I did notice they were all out of Wii U deluxes. It will be interesting to see the next hardware figures to see if sales are improving.
Gameplay foremost, then graphics. There's nothing like spending $60 for a pretty game that you latter find out it can be finish in a matter of days.
The graphics should be used only to enchance gameplay. Not as eye candy.
It's not right now. Save your money for when the PS4 comes out. Realistic that's the system your going to be playing the majority of your games on.
Or at least wait till after E3 to see what Nintendo does.
Here in America, people have been receiving there tax refunds and have disposable income yet sales are flat.
Did they rely on Rayman Legends too much? That's strange because it's only one game.
All I know is the PS4/NextXbox low end cpu & mid range gpu will be capable of making some amazing games this next- generation. And Tasmasi sir, will no doubt have one or both of them in his house.
Be really nice if that was in American dollars. Wii U would then be flying off the shelves here.
After E3 would be a better indicator of where the Wii U is heading. But it's got to be baffling,a 2 month dry spell and no proper 3rd party support. Personally, I don't like being spoon fed games which Nintendo has to do without good 3rd party support.
You see comparing the Wii to the original xbox is just sad. You surely can't compare it to the 360 and that's even after coming out a year later.
I see the Wii U doing OK. It is after all in HD this time and people graphics do matter. Your going to enjoy playing your Nintendo games in HD.
When you say Nintendo has more games than Sony or Microsoft. Your referring to kiddie games, right? The bragging rights are all yours!
I'm not saying the Wii U isn't an ok console. I also don't think you can take numbers from the holiday season, where a lot of your sales come from, and then say the total numbers don't look so bad. The PS4/N720 without a doubt are going to take sales away from the Wii U. 1st party games are going to be space out to insure maximum sales. The Mario 3d(if there is one) and ZeldaHD takes at least 2 years including delays. Does that mean you won't see exceptional sales until th...
No doubt this November is going to make life worth living! Ok, there's other things too, but this has to be in the top 5!!
Good stuff, even if it's old. Learn a little,he made some stuff up(personal opinions by him) but still enjoyed it very much.
Just maybe MS learn with the original Xbox what kind of stranglehold Sony had on the console market and the clout and sway they had with developers. So, with the 360 they went all out getting developers and it sure did help they were easy to develope for.
I see the Next720 as defining if it's going to be an legit console maker o...
Funny how Halo & Gears keep coming up like it's a bad thing when they sell very well but, I'll just look the other way when Sony shows another Killzone, Uncharted, Resistance, Infamous, etc.
Jonathan Blow has an axe to grind, so he's taking his digs and mind you after XboxLive has made him rich. And I'm sure he's not knee deep in with Next 720 development team.
Lets wait and hear what MS announces before rushing to criticize.
I'm p...
EA saying they wouldn't support Dreamcast back in the days, eventually turn me off to there sport games.
I begin playing 2K sports and haven't look back since. 2K NFL is longer around because of EA exculsive agreement with the NFL which made it more popular.
Also back then(1999) secretly hoping they would be a thorn in EA side.:)
Hoping your right.. I personally like the Wii U. Being able to add your own harddrive and old remotes is great. I'm sure over time Nintendo will make it an interesting experience.
I plan to buy one, just waiting for the OS fixes, maybe price cut and more software titles.
Nintendo can be compare to Disneyland. Both iconic symbols known worldwide for the family friendly atmosphere and interaction you can experience with them.
Jade Empire, Shadow of Destiny
Wow only 8,302 sold. You would think after the wildly popular Wii people would be flocking in doves to the Wii U.
Trying to predict which direction the gaming market will go is a lot like the ecomony, no one knows for sure, where it going.
As the Japenese saying goes, "Saving face" thats what they need to do with a price cut along with new software titles.
As for Mario 3D or new Zelda most likely not for a couple years, of course af...
Your brother was right, sorry to hear about your Dad.
The console market like the economy is hard to predict sometimes.
Who would have thought Ps 2 would sell well along with a pricely PS3 selling well too.
Who thought Microsoft was in serious trouble with the RROD trouble.
Who thought the Wii would sell like hot cakes.
But you might have something here. With the Wii U it's plan to see it needs a price cut. You'll be surprise w...
It confusing as heck with developers, game sites and Brain Orthy and Manveer Heir twitter dialog- which I think was real and not just joking around. I can see where a lot of people would believe it's true. I guess we'll have to wait until E3 or in May to find out for sure.
Personally, I find it hard to believe they will implement the DRM thing for playing games. But that's probably where were headed in the furture as companies try to have more control over you.
