Yeah, Gears 3 uses a combination of dedicated servers and peer-to-peer. The guy that wrote this is simply saying that, if you notice that you are hosting, use it to your advantage.
Perhaps that point needs clarification; I meant "comparatively" to modern games where an ammo count is pretty much a token gesture and you'll rarely find yourself with little ammo. On your first playthrough of Resident Evil (in which typically you won't know where to look for ammo) I bet most people had to fire their weapons very conservatively.

The point is that in many cases, Activision is forcing players who wish to buy the second pack to pay for the same content (the first pack) twice.
You're right, but Microsoft doesn't have to ditch those brands in order to run them on the Windows 8 platform - I'm just suggesting that we may see an end to Xbox-branded hardware.
