If it's not fuel, health, transport or grocery related, then the Government really doesn't give a crap...
Excellent read! Innovation is what we need to see more of!
I'll actually download the demo :P
...it was really hard writing this article. When you enjoy something and are really happy with the service like I am with LIVE, it's hard to think of ways to negatively comment on it without feeling dirty.
I've never been happy with the cost differences that non-US countries suffer, getting less features and having to pay alot more for it . So for those of you thinking "ZOMG, u r a xbot, how r u sayin theez thingz??" - it's ok to enjoy the positives and comment on the n...
I can't wait :) There has always been something about Wolfenstein that attracts me to the series, I hope this one is no exception.
I'm actually quite sick of "Coming Soon in 2023" type announcements. We as gamers are so impatient, we want everything yesterday and if we can't have it, WE WANT INFO!!! What we DON'T want is to be given release after release of info for a game that, chances are will be reworked 3 times before actually making it out.
So yes I agree - more 2008 info please people! :)
Coming soon - our Top #10 countdown of our top 10 E3 Top 10 listings for the last 10 years.
We COULD just regurgitate the same old news that EVERY OTHER site is posting or, we could do something different and actually write something based on our opinions, not just an itinerary. But tha=nks all the same ;)
Seriously, I'm sick of the same old same old, I'm 100% behind the site as doing something different than the rest! :)
Then I'd say that an announcement like this for E3 would be completely expected to say the least. I mean, it's not like Nintendo has sold any consoles, right?
There is so much $$$ in casual gaming, it's no wonder Microsoft are pursuing ideas such as this...
Force it on people? Mmmk - let's all remember that this is an accessory - not a change in format :P
...or does the Newton look like a white lightsabre?
I thought it was the other way around? O_o
I agree OZ - I don't know if I could sink money into this game (as I've already got so much Civilization on my PC) but maybe it's worth a night or two?
I've always enjoyed the Civ series and as such, had my qualms about how the genre would translate to the land of small boxes and consoles.
I haven't yet played the full retail version, but the demo played very well, fluently and gets very addictive. I understand the importance of forming an opinion on a game like this on it's own merits, but something in me still prefers the feel of a mouse and keyboard when entering into the world of Civilization...
There has always been something about the Splinter Cell series that sucks me in - something about it that always enticed me to buy the next addition. Chaos Theory was no exception and as said above, I agree that this is probably the best SC title released to date...
I do hope that once the story arc of the current games is completed, that they do head back to the traditional "Splinter Cell" experience. As much as I did enjoy the whole Double Agent experience and that I'...
My additions (DarkArmada) in there are pretty obvious, but are much needed right now... Seriously, it's crunch time in the industry and this is where the big 3 need to get their pieces into place for what will be a huge holiday period in Nov/Dec and moving on into 09 where there will be change... big change :)
...that this E3 is going to be a fizzle. Announcements of some of the larger IP's/titles have already happened and it's mostly dates and screens that we're truly salivating for.
Honestly, what mind blowing news can truly happen apart from a sneak peak at the future of console gaming? We've been spoilt in the past and I think this years toned down version will only end in disappointment for most.
It's been something to watch how gaming has become so segregated in this generation of consoles and absolutely refreshing for a supposed "Xbox 360 only" site to embrace the best qualities of the "opposition" and publish them as a huge positive for the industry.
Looking forward to reading an Xbox 360 site's take on MGS4 in a full review and it just goes to show that not every dedicated gaming site is fanboyish in their approach to the "other side of the tr...
This game is amazing - the "Couch Mode" for 4-player co-op play on 1 puzzle, plus the different controller settings really stand this one out from the crowd :)
I think it's generally accepted that Single Player = immersion. It's as simple as that. The further we push gaming towards Multiplayer the closer we get to entirely "pick-up and play" type gameplay and the further away we get from epic, totally immersive and story strong experiences.
I understand that alot of gamers now wouldn't even consider buying a game if it lacks some form of multiplayer and frankly, it's a sad direction for gaming to be heading in.
Of the Brothers in Arms IP - however this is ticking at me to come and try it... If in fact, this is a closer reflection to war than the typical "American Hero" type shooters, then I'd be more inclined to give it a go...
