Really... how old are you, voluptuary?
I'm just 35 - not very old I think (don't dare to disagree!).
And in the last 10 years I've seen changes in technology, that NO ONE had thought could be realized so soon.
I've started 23 years ago with a COMMODORE V20. It had 4kb RAM (yes! that's KILOBYTE). When the C64 came out with 64KB, everyone thought: That's enough for centuries!
And this evolution is getting faster and faster.
You are all sitting in front of a P...
Microsoft creating an xbox360-deluxe-edition with built-in HD-DVD?
And then? xbox360-mega-deluxe-superb-edi tion with HD-DVD an WiFi?
Honestly, last year when they delayed the PS3 I was close to buying a 360 - If I had, I'd be pretty pi*#sed now.
And please don't talk about that sh*'t "Microsoft is giving us choice".
They should have thought of such improvements when they designed it!
Can't hear that "trojan horse"-BS anymore!
A little lesson:
What is a trojan horse?
In history it was a trick that the greeks used to conquer troja.
Nowadays it's also known as maleware that allows to infiltrate your system with code that is destructive and/or able to spy on passwords etc.
In both cases it's definetly something you DON'T want!
So how does this apply to the PS3?? When I buy a PS3, I KNOW I'm getting Blu-Ray! And when ...
"The Internet? We are not interested in it" -- Bill Gates, 1993 ...
I'm happy!
Oh.. a japanese dev doesn't like the PS3? I cancel my preorder imediatly!
1. tethered didn't say that MS-fans said something like that - he's talking about "reports". I heard it different (that you can't download while playing games), too.
2. He's talking about the background downloading, not how many downloads you can start simutanously.
So, power: What about a nice cup of Shut the F*=?k up? There's enough for everyone!
No matter what anyone says - analysts, developers etc. about ANY console. No matter WHAT they talk about.
Users here know BETTER!
They even know what (nearly) ALL europeans think!!
I wonder where Mart is? No clever comment? Or used up all bubbles?
Not commenting this article must be hard for you!
Yes, I was reffering to that.
And, yes, I think littlebigplanet is gong to be great.
And , NO, I'm not into Final Fantasy - love the term "metrosexual action" ... wow, never thought I'd agree with you on something! ;-)
I owned a PS1 and skipped the PS2/xbox.
When HALO came out and I knew a friend of mine got it, I was really excited to play it.
I heard so many great things about it. But honestly, I was disappointed. I really can't see what's so special about this game.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice game and fun to play, but I can't understand the hype.
Back on topic: $129 is way too much for ANY game. Even if it's packed with T-Shirts, posters etc.
These extras are so c...
...I never said, that the European launch would make a difference to these figures!
But it will make a difference to the worldwide figures. And that's the only number that counts.
I bet you agree - 360 is a huge success worldwide. So the japanese sales-figures for the 360 don't
give you the whole picture.
It's no secret that most people prefer products from their own country (at least when they're comparable
in price and quality). Italians buy italian cars, ...
All these sales numbers don't mean anything until the PS3 is out worldwide.
For all who don't know: there are 680 million people in europe who couldn't buy a PS3 yet.
As many said before: This article has nothing to do with gaming or Home!
Why the hell do you come up with this sh**t?
How can someone say anything bad about something that might help cure diseases?
Of course, YOU can, MART! Cause it's on the PS3.... it MUST be bad!
And if it's not b bad... then... eehhhh... then... "But what about the games?".. BLA BLA BLA
(BTW I hope - I really do (without sarcasm) - that no one in your family or s...
To be honest... this is one of the least weird adds from japan i've seen!
And I guess this one is only one of many short adds they're showing.
It's very short, so I guess there are a lot of different ones, each with another
aspect of the console (not an unusual type of advertisment).
So you think one movie (Lord of the Rings) makes the difference and millions of consoles with built-in BD-players don't? Wake up!
...and no one can predict where the price of BD-players or HD-DVD-players are going at the end of the year.. so that's no arguement.
it's a huge task to create such a complex thing as HOME.
I disagree on your "and that was by microsoft". Even if it's the world's biggest software-company... how long did it take for them to create a new browser (and they just added features other browser had for a long time!).
Maybe they're too big... sometimes that slows companies down.
"Once it launches in Europe."
Nobody cares?
January sales figures WORLDWIDE for 360: 294,000
for PS3 IN AMERICA AND JAPAN: 244,000
(please, please, please.. it's Europe.. they sold 40 Million PS2 there!)
I was able to play the 360 at a friend - honestly, it's a great console. But please! No one can be that naive not to think, that with the figures above, the PS3 won't outsell 360.
...add content...
You're like most wives, Mart! Take a statement and turn it around until it fits your oppinion.
"Do I look fat in this?" "No!"
"What? You think I'm fat?" "Never said that!"
"But you were THINKING it!" ... and so on!
"PS3 owners will be happy"
"Actually admitting PS3 owners aren't happy now? " ...
How old are those numbers?
Sales figures for January (source: http://newlevelgaming.blog-... )
Nintendo Wii - 436,000
Microsoft Xbox 360 - 294,000
Sony PS3 - 244,000
Wow... really.. NO ONE wants the PS3! A massive gap of 50,000 units!
And btw... it's without europe! Let's wait for the April-figures.
We all know that MS sold a lot more than Sony did (who wonders with a 1 1/2 year head-start). And yes, we all don't know, if Sony will catch up (and if they do, when) in terms of sales.
But... that's completly off-topic here. They are talking about specs!
And YOU are the one, who always said "this and that isn't needed" or "I don't want that...". So you actually already admitted that in terms of hardware features (and that's what it's all about here) ...
