I've always loved the older Castlevanias. I really liked Symphony of the Night, but I think they milked that forumla to death. It'll be interesting to see if this is a return to form.

I dunno... games with a lot of developer diaries usually end up sucking.

Out of every platform throughout gaming history, I feel the SNES has the best collection of melodic soundtracks. Secret of Evermore is one of the best for the platform which I feel makes high in the rankings for one of the greatest (and mostinfluential) soundtracks in video game history.

The worst is when someone is running at you to knife you, you'd dump a clip into their chest and they still kill you with the knife.

That's some freakishly strong body armor!

No, they mention that he had his own games. "Yes, there have been video games starring Bruce Lee, but naming them wouldn’t be half as fun."

Tale of Tales is a brilliant team. Great read.

"Valve" is almost becoming synonymous with "PC gaming" and it's kinda nice to see that they aren't abusing that privilege too much.

I have to agree with everyone here. It's not going to happen in the foreseeable future. Nintendo sales are intimidatingly intense. Mario is a gold mine and he will be for a very long time.

If you want survival horror, look at Penumbra and the upcoming game Amnesia.

I totally agree with that statement. I feel it sometimes holds more true with the gaming and tech industry than anything else.

So much potential just swirling down the drain :(

Gears of war and Trials are available on PC. They aren't exclusive.

Well written. Well said. It does appear that some video game journalism sites and some game companies get too comfortable with each other. Greasing the wheels with large give-aways like the Xbox 360 at this most recent E3 was probably a little too much from Microsoft.

How aren't more people excited for this?! I'll take 1 of these instead of more Resident Evil sequels.

There's no doubt this is a high high high contender for game of the year. The holiday season is going to have to toss out a few flawless gems to top it.

I grew up there too! Tell me this, did you do the Ashland Coal mine tour (Pioneer Train) as a gradeschool class trip too?

It's true most people knew about Centralia after the first Silent Hill, but not many people know what it actually looks like.

I actually grew up very near Centralia (and even dated a girl from there for a bit).

Nice set of photos you took.

Harry, I couldn't agree more. Makes me sad that it got approved when there are so many other legitimate stories that are still waiting in "pending."

I am really looking forward to this game. It looks like Diablo meets Lara Croft and that sounds like a wonderful recipe for success to me.
